Nokia Patent Application

A Nokia patent for slider cameraphone has been sent to the USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office Home Page). The patent application reveals a phone with a retractable camera that has a vague inscription under its lens that says 8 megapixels… or maybe 6. It is not clear since the sketch is very grainy.

The device and its stage of development are a mystery for now, but we presume that work on it has already begun. Besides the rough schematics, the phone design seems to be very detailed.

Is it possible that the new Nokia will hold an 8-megapixel camera?
