Nokia N97 may launch on March 31
News iconPublished on: 19 January, 2009 by PhoneArena Team
The N97 is undoubtedly the most expected Nokia phone, especially as the manufacturer didn’t show anything new at CES 2009. We have our fingers crossed for the Finns to announce something interesting at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, and to release the N97 as soon as possible. According to play.com and their list of devices, our second wish may become reality very soon.
The site specifies that it’s going to release the phone on March 31, 2009, and has defined a pre-order price of 480 pounds (about $700) for a unit without subsidies. Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? This, of course, can be the latest marketing move, in order to attract some attention. Our first impressions of the Nokia N97 however, are completely real, so you can confidently read them, while waiting for the manufacturer to officially announce the release date, on which the smartphone will head directly to the stores.
