Nokia E71 and E66 finally official

advertisment:
Live spy photos of the two new E-series have been floating around for months, but today, finally, they are officially announced by Nokia. Both are expected to start shipping “in key markets” next month, with the same unsubsidized price of about $540 (EUR 350).

The two devices are designed for the same audience, people who “want quick and easy access to their personal and work email” and have pretty similar specifications but in different form factor. Nokia now claims that they have well-crafted bodies and not only business, but also multimedia features.
They use the same design language (available in both grey or white color versions), with brushed stainless steel back (as with the E51), run on the same Symbian 9 with S60 3rd edition Feature Pack 1 interface (which is strange as there are a few Nokias announced to run on Feature Pack 2), and both are quad-band GSM plus 3G phones (there will be total of three versions: for America, Europe and a mixed one). Other common features include WiFi, GPS, 3.2-megapixel camera, QVGA display, Stereo Bluetooth, and microSD slot for memory card.

Nokia E71 is the successor of the E61/E62/E61i family and is wide candybar with landscape display and full QWERTY keyboard. Nokia says the keypad is specially designed and the phone is suitable for both, single and two-handed usage, but we’ll wait for a review sample to test it out.

Nokia E66 will replace the E65, the previous slider in the series. It has integrated accelerometer sensor that will control the interface orientation and will mute an incoming call once the phone is turned over, just as the 8800 Arte series.

but, it looks awfully tall, compared to the rest of the device, that is the only issue i find with it, it almost looks weird.
