Nokia 6120 Classic
Nokia just announced its latest addition to the smartphone line – the 6120 Classic. The “Classic” label is in order to distinct the phone from the old 6120, which was a TDMA/Analog device from the previous century. The Classic line comes because Nokia wants to re-use the old model numbers for new purposes (devices). This is the second Classic phone after the 3110.

Back to the 6120 Classic: just like its predecessor, it is dual-mode (this time GSM/HSDPA) device that is suitable for America. It is quad-band GSM and dual-band UMTS/HSDPA (850/2100 MHz) which means it can use 3G data in both the States and Europe. Targeted as easy-to-use phone, it packs a lot of features, as it runs on Symbian 9.2 S60 Operating System. Among its features we can note a 2-megapixel camera, microSD slot, and QVGA display with 16 million colors, 64MB RAM and ARM 11 processor with Clock Rate at 369 MHz.

Nokia 6120 Specifications

All this comes in well-sized package at the price of EUR 260, or USD 350. It will begin shipping during the Q2.

The successor of 6233?
It looks like an enhanced 6233, but despite of the new functions (HSDPA, Symbian, miniUSB, A2DP, 2nd camera), it lacks some features like the IR port, dual speakers, VGA video recording.
The best thing that Nokia could do is to release a Series 40 phone that would have the features of the 6120 while preserving all the goodies of the 6233.
That would be the perfect phone!

Re: Video Recording
It can record video clips, but only at QVGA (320x240) resolution, compared to the 6233 which is capable of recording videos at VGA (640x480).

Sounds great
@ALE Infrared ... dont see the use of that anylonger when it has bluetooth. Stereo speakers seems like an almost useless feature - Voice is mono and people listen to MP3 on headphones not on speakers, at least most of them (maybe if the quality of the speakers is quite hi, but i dont think speakers this small can have hi quality) And I really wonder if 6233 can record 640x480 videos. Also dont see what it should be a Series 40? It wont be a smartphone if it would be series 40. I think this phone sounds great ... The only think I would want from it would be WLAN. I think I will buy it these days (as soon as I'll find one)
