1. Love it, wish it worked - 6 months update!

Well, its been back for service once, they replaced a "crystal filter". Dropped calls 6 times yesterday on a 35 minute drive home. Slightly more than the usual 3 times in a 30 minute call. Still no updates to correct the bugs, like the rest of the world has had for months. Still the version 20... firmware. Wonderful form factor, still love the phones whole concept, but it's just a Nokia piece of S***!!! This weekend going to get an IPhone 3GS. Never another Nokia for me. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice.... well, don't give the bad company a chance to fool you twice!

Nokia 5800 is best buy as on date , price has reduced to 13000 now.
If you comare the other touch phones in the market available, its leading every where except its width which in 13mm.
Samsung Star , Samsung star 3g, LG cookies and even Samsung Jet , no phone is close to it.
Samsung Star which doesnt have 3g, Wi-Fi , Camera is Fixed focus as compare to autofocus in 5800, Video downloading at QVGA@15fps as compare to 30 fps in Nokia 5800.Internal memory is 81 MB in Nokia 5800 as compare to 50 MB in samsung Star. Battery is 1320 mAH in Nokia 5800 as compare to 1000 mAH in Samsung STAR. Processor is 369 Mhz as compare to in Samsung Star.Nokia 5800 has additional features. like GPS, TV Output.
Samsung Start will cost you 9000 and Samsung Star 3g you can get in 12 K but it's really surprising that Star 3g screen sige is smaller as compare to its 2g model. Star with 3g doesnt have QWERTY keyboard and handwriting detection in it..i dont know for what reason......well i guess they have realized the drawback and very soon Samsung Star 3g with WI-FI will be launched..Hope with wider screen and QWERTY keyboard in it. so you can wait for that to happen if you are not in hurry.
Samsung Jet looks to be gr8 phone with 800 mhz processor, 5MP camera with autofocus, dual LED flash supported by 4 GB internal memory. it has got MOLCD display and has GPS, TV Output, Bluetooth A2Dp, USB 2.0 copatiblity.Battery is 1480 mAH and its costing 19 to 20 K in india. the only issue with this phone is though they call it a smarter then smart phone but truely speaking we can not download ny new applocation, No copy paste.

This is a exelent phone.. I have used more than 20 different Nokia , Sony Ericcson phones but 5800 is the best.
I found one miner problem in this phone That is we cannot mark objects by pressing a mark button. we have to mark every object one by one when marking several items.

I have never experienced a problem with my handset so far and its been almost 6 months i've had it. It doesn't freeze, processor is very good, the touch screen responds very well and the sounds are extremely good. To be honest before buying this handset I bought an iPod touch just for the music and not i hardly use it since i bought this. you get a whole year of free music supply and you don't need to download low quality music from lime wire or any other sources coz you can download extremely good quality crystal clear music from nokia music. I personally have no negative comments about this phone. Though this phone focus mainly on music the still images and the videos I have taken with the camera are extremely good and clear. I don't think you'll regret if you buy this.

Perfect touch sensitivity, excellent music player. Call quality average. Great browser. If only it didn't ddrop calls, lock up and reset requiring battery pull. The more you use it, the more you must pull battery. When it works, I love it. Nokia won't release newwest software to US yet; hope it fixes bugs, but Im done with Nokia for the crappy way they treated buyers of this phone. All retaill, by the way.
Browser
Few Nokia locked garbage programs (but any is too many)
Music & video Players
Be sure to use Bluetooth 2.0 devices with it
size
Crashes
Drops calls
screen lock button unlocks in your pocket when walking
Did I mention Crashes & dropped calls?
Poor manufacturer aftermarket support

8. Great Handset!!!

Bought this handset just 10 days ago. I really liked the features Nokia has put into it. The phone looks a great package, and has 8GB memory card included in the sales package. The Music is good enough, considering it's an Xpress Music phone I was a bit unimpressed with it's sound quality, but while listening to it on the headsets provided, it's awesome. Touch UI is good and helpful, but there is a little lag. Processor should be tweeked up a bit by Nokia to make it better.
Camera is a bit poor when clicking the photos inside a not so brightly lit room, but in the open they're excellent. Should have a Xenon flash instead of Dual-LEDs for clicking photos inside the room.
The battery is claimed to give loads of Talktime and Standby time, but while using it actually with 2-3 apllications running together, it hardly lasts a day. Should have been designed to work more with less frequent charge.
Ultimete phone for it's price otherwise...

9. BEST NOKIA EVER

This is probably the 20th phone I'm buying since a decade ago and I have to say it is the best so far in terms of quality, price, and Symbian.
If you're looking for a Symbian OS phone, look no further, this is the one.
I had lots of Symbian Nokias before: E60, E65, E71, E90, N95 8G.
This beats them all and comes closer to the N95 8G only a bigger and better screen and audio quality as well as battery life which is one of the best. It also comes with the same accessories as the N95 8G.
menu speed
video playback quality
sound quality
fun to use
never freezes
battery
fast bluetooth (120k/s)games not to be compared with iPhone

10. 9/10 out of the box

It's been 2 weeks since I picked up my 5800 XpressMusic. In 2 weeks I have added apps, widgets, themes, music, and pretty much everything else I could find. While initially the phone was a bit slow (I'm used to the speed of a 6120 Classic), after the latest firmware update (v21) this little gem flies.
One notable aspect of this phone is its versatility. From one-handed SMS to full qwerty document creation, from video to gaming, and from phone calls to high-speed data, you can rest assured the 5800 will not let you down. The S60 OS adds to this in may ways, but the pure feature bloat? (I mean this in a good way) ensures you have what you need in a all-in-one device.
With all the features I could ask for in a smartphone, the 5800 delivers on all counts. I use it as a GPS device, mobile browser, portable radio, PIM, notes-taker, entertainment device, in-a-pinch camera - and phone. The build quality is good as Nokias go (dropped once, no ill effects), the usability and general experience is excellent, and I would (have) recommend this phone to anyone looking for a touchscreen device.
Large touch screen, high definition display
S60 OS
Usability
Firmware updated regularly
Features - GPS, WiFi, HSDPA, Bluetooth and more
Camera not too great
No N-Gage capability
First S60v5 device
