Nokia 5320 XpressMusic Review

26 Jul 2009 Jaka

8.3 out of 10

Nokia 5320 XpressMusic is the cheapest smartphone on the market at the moment. Running Symbian S60 3rd Edition FP2, offers a lot of applications, such as Real Player, QuickOffice, Flash (very good - useful for watching Youtube videos on the mobile)...

Nokia 5320 is actually a music phone. It's easy to organize the music in the library and the phone has good speakers. Only the music controls on both sides are a little bit worse than expected - you can easy press several controls at once.

The camera (2.0 megapixel) is nothing special so I do not recommend this phone to all the people who like to take great photos with their mobile, but regular users will be probably quite satisfied with it.  Of course video function is enabled and a photo editor is also built-in.

Nokia 5320 is also appropriate for users who spend a lot of time on the internet because of fast mobile browser. You can also install eBuddy to use MSN and GoogleTalk on the phone.

The keybord is quite dissapointing. The keys are quite small and the confirmation button is often misplaced  and the left or key in pressed instead of it. But after a few weeks you get used to it and everything goes smooth.

Battery life is another minus of this device. You have to charge the phone at least two or three times a week. If you want to listen music, you'll have to charge the battery even more often.

In general this phone is great for average users. You must remember that this is the cheapest smartphone on the market. If you want to take great photos, have a huge display or better design, you'll have to consider on one of other smartphones. But in case you onla want to talk. text, listen to music, check facebook and take photos with your friends, this phone will be more than enough.

- fast and secure mobile browser
- great sound
- a lot of useful applications are built-in
- poor battery life
- dissapointing keybord

IT is almost a perfect cell phone. I am using it for a month. It's stylish design is AWESOME. Easy to handle. Easy to operate. The design of the Nokia 5320 is obviously trying to catch on with the younger audience. The handset has an all-plastic construction and, although we didn't fall in love with it in an instant, we find it quite nice to look at. The dimpled surface at the back and sides might not blend perfectly but they do provide a really nice grip and make the 5320 really hard to slip off your hands.
