the weak signal could easily be because... it was inside a building!!! that happends, even on verizon sometimes. if they are real spy photos, then maybe they are inside a warehouse or factory and 007 is taking the photos from some secret phone vault, which obviously would reduce its signal strength a bit!!
ooooh yea!
@vxzwemp: If you refeering to #12 being on an old plan or a liar, he is probably on an old plan. there are some older plans that are a better bargain then current plans. I'm sure if you are an actually a real vzw employee, you already knew that.
This phone looks raw and better than the voyager! But one thing i don't get.........why before did they say it was going to have a 3.5mm headphone jack and now 2.5mm. Having a 3.5mm would have had already one thing over the voyager and if at one time it had it, why would it get changed? Nonetheless, im hyped fo sho about this phone and i wanna know when it comes out so i can cop it.........dat and da other features that havent been revealed to the public yet!
The better question is why they decided to go with a 2 megapixel camera instead of the 3.15 that the F700 has? Are they watering it down for the american market? Why doesn't Verizon use the croix/touchwiz operating system? Is their need for control causing them to use an inferior operating system? I like this phone, but I will need to really test it out before I commit to buying it.
the official story over the camera is that having phones with a 5mp camera on the network would bog down the network when someone would try to message the picture to someone else. The other aspect I have heard is that most of the lower end phones couldn't handle the resolution of a 5mp pic on their screen so they don't offer the higher end cameras to save then the time of telling every pissed of customer who can't recieve a picture sent to them by their friends "you have too crappy a phone to view that picture"
This is just what i have seen and heard from other forums, geeky friends, and a guy i talked to at a store. DON'T SHOOT THE MESSENGER
i really want this but i fear i won't be able to use it with my mac.
also, can i connect to any internet source with this phone? i don't know what the deal is with the voyager...

I have owned and maintained the Samsung I730 since 2006. I love it. The ultimate pda with the exception of not having a camera. I was tempted to get the iI760 but I knew that the only difference in the 760 and the 730 was a worst look and a camera and the wm6 os. I have a digital camera so I could wait on that and as far as the windows operating system, Microsoft has released the software to carriers so it is only a matter of time before it becomes available for upgrade for windows based phones. But the glyde is a different question. It conbines the functions of a finger touch screen (made big by the iphone, and made further wide-spread by the voyager), a camera, and hopefully something that neither the glyde nor the iphone has - a windows based core. In other words, to this day my friends are still blown away by features I have downloaded on my i730 - like an upgraded remote that allows me to control tv's dvd players etc..., customized weather controls, TV, instant messaging - basically any software that comes out for a phone. But from my experience with my duaghters Voyager, it does not have that ugradability like (even though the front screen slide show is neat). But the Voyager will be outdated in a year because it lacks the ability to upgrade like the i760 and i730. Bottomline, the interface looks good, but does it have the windows upgradability like other Samsung PDAs? This will be the determining factor as to whether I purchase this phone as my i730 replacement.
