Nice... Not sure about the addition of Mobile TV though, wasteful use of memory if you ask me... And yes, I asked myself.

Is this the TD2 or the Desire ?

It is neither. This is the Imagio, but it is supposed to be VZW's version of the TD2. The Desire is supposed to be an Android Device. My assumption is the desire is VZW's Tattoo or the Hero... but I am going with VZW's Tattoo.

The Tattoo is on HTC's site, usually they don't put it on their if it is carrier exclusive. Oh by the way thanks, I knew it was called the Imagio but there are so many names thrown around I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be the version of the TD2. What happened to the "Whitestone"? Verizon is slowly getting phones but they have a long way to go man.

Lets see here VZW has the TP2, TD2 aka Imagio, BB Tour, Storm 2 and Omnia 2 coming and were getting phones slowly? I do agree that Verizon is slow to get some phones but the TP2 came out VERY fast for a Verizon phone. Other then the Pre and the Iphone VZW has a better lineup for advanced devices. Now if Verizon were to get the Pre and/or the Iphone then they would have the best lineup.

I thought the whitestone was the Sprint Version of the same device without the qualcomm mediaFLO, as sprint uses their streaming TV service... but I could be completely wrong.

I agree we do have some phones coming, I guess what I mean is Verizon needs to be more proactive. They don't go out and get the ground breaking phones every other carrier has a phone that is, what I consider ground breaking(cause they change the scope of the game). Sprint (Pre), T-mobile (G1), At&t (Iphone) . Yes we have phones but in my opinion Verizon has the resources to have the best if they choose. They should be camped out at HTC, what about the Leo or the TG01, the Sony Xperia3(with Rachel UI), Acer F1 etc. So I do agree that we have phones but seriously what can we call our own and what changes the game!

I'm 99% sure that "whitestone" was always intended for VZW.

Every HTC device has like 50 different names. Whitestone was just HTC's internal name for the phone. It was never going to be called whitestone regardless of where it went. It wouldn't even have been called whitestone if it got released direct from HTC.

Just look at the Touch Pro2 or the MyTouch or even the G1. Four different names from each one.

Well VZW's exclusive "game changer" was supposed to be the Storm. It was just a failure.

Its a whole bottom up approach that VZW takes with their phones. Its something that I think they need to address from the top down before they get any phones that people get really excited about. VZW identifies what they think their market needs and has a partner produce a phone for that market. They just seem to miss more then they hit. Then they end up playing catch up and rushing out a lot of crap. Its ironic. They're always talking about delays due to their "stringent testing" but most of it comes out like crap. Remember the original voyager (their rushed answer to the iPhone 1G?). Same story as the storm really. They missed the market and they're trying to back peddle in now and they're rushing phones to get there and it just hurts them more.

Thats why I don't think you'll ever see anything truly innovative from VZW. Its just not the way they do business. Its not necessarily a bad thing. It serves them well really. They've just shown time and time again they're not willing to take a risk on something new. They'll wait til they know they've got a gap, then search for a filler.

I hoping they prove me wrong. I really hope that the MS/VZW rumored connection with the "pink" phones comes to pass and MS doesn't just market them to everyone. I really think that could be a game changer and I look forward to it. Everything else MikeG77 mentioned just isn't. This is a nice phone but not that different that any other WM device, same with every "sequel" phone he mentioned.

Anyone know how much onboard memory this phone will have and how big an SD memory card it can take?

I'll just have to carry around a mini flashlight to use as a flash for that nice camera.... :)

Don't know. Looks small though. Look at the 3.5 jack in the second picture. May not accurately represent the actual product but it seems reasonably thin.

ii'm going to buy this phone after seeing the full dimension pictures. More sleeker than what i previously have thought. Does this thing has 2 speakers like TP2? there is a speaker on the back of the device. What about the holes around the device? are those holes for another speaker perhaps?? That'd be cool
