New UTStarcom slim GSM phone approved by FCC

The new UTStarcom handset is a candybar phone with tri-band GSM (850/1800/1900 MHz) support. It is a mid-level ultra slim device and looks like it will be a rival of T-Mobile's Samsung T509 and Cingular's Motorola L7. The phone features a VGA camera, MP3 and KTV (we have no idea what this is) players and allows memory expansion via microSD card. There is also a MP3 dedicated side key which could be useful for music maniacs. A headset is also included in the box.

The exact model name does not become clear from the manual, but we guess it might be UT1200.
