Motorola site shows the Evoke QA4

Hello MOTO! When will you release new models? We've heard about a few ones recently, but nothing interesting has been announced yet. However, we are happy to see that the official Motorola web site has a page, for registering for first information about the Evoke QA4. First details about it leaked earlier this year, but now we know it will come with the Evoke name, not only the boring QA4 model. Still, there are is no additional new information. The small image confirms what we've previously seen so we can expect it all to be true - the Evoke will be a slider with 2.8" touch screen and a single button when closed and a numeric keypad when opened. It is a CDMA/EVDO handset but there isn't information if it will be available with Sprint, Verizon Wireless or with both - your guess is better than ours.

Judging by the way it is showing EV on the signal strength bar and how it is set up I would say it is not Sprint or Verizon but Alltel.

...and maybe Metro, according to my AR, but he said he doesn't really like it- the screen isn't that as responsive as others..

CDMA huh? Hm...it's probably gonna be Verizon. This looks like a Verizon type phone.

Jeez, I hope Verizon doesn't get this, Moto's last crack at CDMA touch-screen phones was not beautiful with Verizon... The Krave didn't exactly "wow" customers... I sincerely hope that carriers start focusing a little bit more on creating innovative non-touch phones, because they're just not usable. Some people may find that touchscreens work for them, but for those of us that just can not stand the inconsistency, the inaccuracy, and the irritability of touchscreens, I for one would love better non-touch or combo phones.
