11. Whats UP???

I had V3M for over then a year and never had any problems. My carrier is US Cellular and they don't load the phone up with crappy applications like Verizon does.
I am able to go on-line, play mp3's, watch full size dvd movies (with the help of GB micro SD card), transfer mp3's to the phone and apply them as a ringtones - never had to buy a ringtone yet! I also have motorola mobile tools software, which i great! I was able to use the phone as a modem and got a free access trough verizon, which is great too.
Over all I am very happy with this phone. I have dropped it so many times that it is not even funny and it still works like the day I got it from the store. The only problem I had with this phone is send button was getting stucked on it, but US cellular replaced entire keyboard for free because it was under warranty. They done it right in the store.
I have heard lot of complaints about verizon Razr's, but US cellular version is great. I would recommend this phone to anyone.

This is a great phone. I've had it for more than 2 years and I still love it. A lot of people complain about it, but I never under what's wrong with the phone. I always get a good signal and it's small so it always fits in my pockets.

13. Bad User Interface

I had a Nokia 3120 with AT&T/Cingular for 3 years before now. I switched to Verizon for better network coverage, and to share free in-network minutes with more friends.
All I want out of a cellphone and provider is good network, light weight, quick-to-call, quick-to-text, makes only the noises I want. Nokia 3120 on AT&T provided all these except good network coverage. Motorola RAZR V3m on Verizon only gives the network.
Here's how Razr v3m on Verizon sucks:
1. Three button clicks to a blank txt msg screen. On Razr, the fastest route to a blank txt composition is Msgs > New Msg (OK) > Txt Msg (OK). Contrast this to one click on my Nokia, just hit left nav-button, and go straight to a blank text composition screen.
2. Can't easily type numbers in texts. On Razr, to type a number into a txt msg, you've got to either scroll through to the last choice on each key (that's 10 presses on the #1 key to type the number "1"), or you have to select a different input mode (ie, switch from "Abc" to "123" mode).
Contrast this to the Nokia 3120 on AT&T: You just hold down the #1 key for 1 second, and it types "1". If you hold down the #1 key on a Razr, you get the first choice, a ".". Stupid design.
Also, on a Razr, if you hold the * key for 3 seconds, you automatically get switched to "123" mode. But when you want to go back to "Abc" mode, you can only do so using a menu.
3. Can't shut off missed call alert on the Razr v3m. Can't find a place to do this in the menu.
4. Can't program the voicemail speed-dial to automatically send your password. This was possible on AT&T.
5. Like all Verizon phones, I can't get rid of the standard Verizon voicemail outgoing message. AT&T allows you to do away with this and use your own personalized message instead.
6. Razr takes about 25 seconds to start up. Nokia 3120 took about 7 seconds.

14. Save yourself a lot of trouble and avoid this like the plague!

December 2007 is when I went back to Sprint after using prepaid cellular with various carriers. I chose the MOTORAZR (V3m). This piece of crap is slow, the (standard) battery won't even make it 14 hours on a charge (and I forgot it at home that day)! I'd give this a zero rating if I could, but 1 is the worst. Save yourself the frustration and check out the KATANA DLX, LG Rumor, or any other (non-moto) phone. I'll never own a Motorola phone again!

15. The Pro says: NO to the v3 RAZR

Poor reception.
Poor Battery Life.
Poor internal software.
Because it's the first of the thin phones, that' all this has going for it. The standards are higher now, and this model doesn't fit the bill.
Sprint has much better phones that are far less expensive.

16. terrible

I got this razr in Christmas of 05 and it is just terrible. The battery life sucks, my keyboard no longer light's up. I text too fast for the phone, it can't keep up. In the middle of talking to somebody it will black out the go blue then lose it's signal and it malfunctions. It'll freeze and get all stupid. One thing I will say is that if you drop it, it still survives.

17. This Phone Is Just Not Worth It!!!

I have had this since December 2006...no let me take that back. I first bought the razor in December 2006 because it was cute and everybody was talking about it. About 3 or 4 months later, I had to get a new one because according to the Sprint store, the phone had water damage and the alaram kept going off non stop. The phone has been no where near water, but nether the less, I got the new razor. 3 or 4 months after that my phone had water damage again. This time I know I have been extremely careful with my phone, not having it near water, drinks, or the bathroom and kitchen. According to Sprint, the phone can receive water damage just from your hand being sweaty. What kind of bull **** is that? So, if it is foggy outside, I guess the condensation can cause water damage.
Other than that, the phone is slow, it stalls or completely blinks out, and the fact that it is so thin, it is easy for the phone to get water damage. The battery is terrible, I can talk on the phone for 10 minutes, next thing I know the phone is dead.
I hate this piece of shit phone. Please save yourself the trouble and do not get this phone. I am upgrading to the Rumor by LG. It might cost more than the Razor but it is worth it.
