The Motorola Droid is one of the most frequently mentioned handsets these days. Supposedly, the first Android-based device to be offered by Verizon will be showcased on 28 October in New York. Is it likely that the handset hits the shelves 4 days earlier? One of our tipsters has send us pictures of Best Buy´s internal documentation that reveal an Android cell phone equipped with 5-megapixel camera and QWERTY keyboard, components that the Motorola Droid sports as well, is getting released through the retail network of the company on 24 October at a price of $599.99 without contract. We hope the release date and retailer´s availability of the much-anticipated Motorola Droid get officially announced soon, because we need to know where and when to queue up for it, right?
