A leaked Verizon document reveals detailed specifications about the carrier's upcoming Palm Pre Plus and the Palm Pixi Plus models. The Pre Plus will come with 16GB of internal memory, as the original Pre on Sprint only had 8GB, a 3.1" capacitive display with 320x480 resolution and multi-touch support, slide out QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, EVDO Rev A, 3MP camera with LED Flash, Bluetooth, video and music playback, and document viewer. On the other hand the Pixi Plus will come with 8GB of internal memory, 2.63" capacitive display with 320x480 resolution and multi-touch support, QWERTY keyboard, Wi-Fi, EVDO Rev A, 2MP camera with LED flash, Bluetooth, video and music playback, and document viewer. Unfortunately, both the Pre Plus and Pixi Plus do not have a microSD memory card slot and do not support video recording.

No expandable memory or Video capture? It is 2010 and there are phones that still don't do this? I would have expected Verizon to have both. I had the LG VX9800 back in 2006 and it had both. Guess some phones are going backward, but hope I am wrong. I will stick my expansion-able,video taking MotoDroid!

Yeah, thats true, just surprising that Verizon is allowing a phone to take the same steps as the iPhone did with MMS. Maybe 2 years down the road, Palm will make video capture available while we are all streaming live video calls on Verizon's LTE network with modern phones.

I am not for sure about that, but if they have already rolled out 4G in a couple cities, I don't see why we couldn't have 4G capable phones by them. I hope that I get one tho!

This is some inaccurate information. The Palm Pixi Plus, and Palm Pre Plus at VZW, do not have a microSD card slot, but they DO HAVE VIDEO recording. There is a button called update, you click it, and it downloads and installs. Then you have faster apps and Video recording. It also has a new feature called Mobile Hotspot(wireless internet from your phone).

I have let the SD card thing go. I have had an 8GB in my Centro ever since I got it, and the ONLY time I have ever removed it was when I had to remove and replace it when it wasn't working for whatever reason, and to do the SD firmware upgrades. The Pre is more connected than the Centro, so I can live without it. No more SD filesystems, no more copying, no more Spending $ to upgrade the thing, thus: no more hassle! It's time to move into the 21st century, people. Those cards are annoying and not always cheap.

I am also glad they didn't make the screen larger as some wanted. Two things that have always bugged me are size and volume. My phone is ALWAYS too loud, and too big. I know, most of you are the opposite. :)

The Treo never "Advertised" that it would do video, streaming radio, tethering, etc. when it was released early on. The apps didn't take long to show up (and they do exist for the Pre)

If they list video officially, Palm has to support it. It's a safe call to make from a marketing perspective. Even the iP**ne has video apps now.

So the one thing i found interesting about these two phones, is you'll be able to use them as wifi mobile hotspots (feature required).
But enough about that, im glad that palm finally realized where they Belong, and not where they could go expand to. Welcome back.
