What? No friggin fanboys to pass the time by with...? Well I'll just say it then, way to go "open source". Another problem I found with google thinking they are so good at what they do that they don't actually stop to think.

I was going to say the same thing. There are already a lot of security issues on the iPhone and it's watched like a hawk by Apple. I can only expect more stuff like this in the future. Maybe not banking, but surely things like hacks into the phone's system, etc. I was actually waiting for something like this to happen.

Yeah Open Source is so terrible because we all know that Firefox has so many more security issues than Internet Explorer... oh wait it doesn't. Is that because Open Source product holes can be filled immediately be anyone with know-how? Why yes it is! Trying to hate on Open Source and propping up regulatory, proprietary companies like Apple for example is like hating on the free market and expounding the greatness of communism. An Open Source world in the tech business fixes problems immediately because everyone can contribute to a solution that is in everyone's interest.

I agree, why would you download a banking app that's not from your bank? And contrary to the comments of the 2 douches above this has nothing to do with open or closed source. Even with a vetting process this could happen and it has on the iPhone!

really???? Does this site ever stop trying to smear everything that doesn't have an apple on it? they took a legit news story and put the most negative spin possible on it. Add this to the fact that if there is a blog anywhere on the internet that has anything bad to say about any phone, this site will run a full story on it. You people are pathetic

you know, the thing is i'm not even a fanboy. i use a Mac desktop and my fiancee has a I-pod touch. I've use the I-phone and like it, but for my area Verizon, and therefore the Droid, is the only way to go. I just don't understand how a tech site can be so blatantly in the bag for one phone from one carrier and illustrates the negatives of every other phone whenever possible...

if i find a bunch of blogs with negative articles about the I-phone and send the links to Phone arena, think they'll be honest and post them? i think not
