In our initial review we noted several problems we’ve had with the software, but the list just keeps growing and we are growing increasingly less patient...
How many of you that hate so much iPhone had tried one for more then a few minutes???
answer: If you are a Hater probably you have not use one.
I like very much symbian, specially N95 my last phone, but I must say that when we talk about integration and good interface iPhone wins allways.
About Windows Mobile... I had it for more than three years.... And is a comedy. Its true lots of cracks and stuff like that, but the operating system is just the worst. Very slow, crash a lot, and very very very buggy.
So you "hatters" don't be so jealous. If you do not like it do not buy it! As several people as said here, there are lots of other options it depends only of what you want. ;-)
I want easy, quick and good that's why I quit my qtek and imate with windows mobile to go for a symbian phone N95 ( A VERY GOOD PHONE) work well with some small bugs too, but it do the work and was a smartphone I could trust. But I wanted more, much more. I want some iteration more friendly and some better internet/email integration. So I choose and happily after 11 July a iPhone 3G. Have it since 12 July and until know with no problems is a champion and works better than any other. I just say that it will be even better in future, so Sorry "HATTERS"! ;-)

We it really depends on the CPU and memory for windows mobile, the higher the ram and the more powerful the cpu windows mbile will be fast.
I guess I am one of the "haters", but I HAVE used the iphone. I have to say, the UI is fantastic. Everything is gorgeous on it. But it has too many problems or missing features for the price.
I couldn't text on that thing to save my life. If they simply added a landscape keyboard, it would be great, but for some reason, they don't want to. I have bluetooth stereo headphones that I would need to add an adaptor to use. Really?? It's an ipod....how do they not support this? No video is another deal-breaker for me. It's a basic feature that's somehow missing. Those are just a few issues I have with the thing. Others include not being able to download music over the network, no true turn-by-turn directions (for now) and the plans that AT&T makes u take.
It's a beautiful phone, but too many people are getting it to impress their friends. I'll take substance over style, thanks.

Finally! Someone who has legitimate reasons for not liking the iPhone. Some of these issues SHOULD get addressed with apps and hopefully future software updates will address others. But the flaws you've listed are absolutely accurate. I've learned to text, and I have faith that video will come via an app, but the crippled bluetooth irks me to no end.

Guess I'm one of the HATTERS... oh wait you mean Haters. blah. I walked into a AT&T store with my 2 year old phone (a IP-830w by Samsung from Sprint) and the only thing they could show me was the interface... I pulled up WisBar Desktop... oh look I have a full-screen interface JUST like a iPhone! OK, their next Sale try. The "pinch-to-zoom" Interface. ooooo ok, granted that its cool that it can register more than one touch at a time. that is cool. HOWEVER the odd position he was holding it in just to show it off was almost comical. I slid up my phone and double-tapped the screen and zoomed in and out just like he was on a fully rendered web page that actually loaded up faster than on his demo iPhone. Ok, last try. him="Well the iPhone has a camera..." me="Can it send MMS?" him="No its unable to send picture mail, however you can send a picture through email to someone" me="oh gee... what a surprise. Mine has to do the same thing, I just cant take pictures. If thats all you can show me, I'm done." At that point I got kicked out of the store. WhooHoo!

What is the use of implementing great interface with so many bugs as people reported... ???? i dont think u will buy broken furniture @ furniture store. Either be happy with POS you bought or dont crib ... Apple is on the way to becoming microsoft... launch faulty yet attractive products and then sit in the lab n release patches :)

Yes! Yes! You should buy a Windows Mobile phone. Is soooo much better!!! And never freze and stuck and when you have a really emergency try not to have a soft reset. And Microsost Windows Mobile exists since 2002 or 2001, I think.
I think all you guys who do not enjoy the existence of a iPhone 3G should forget about that. :-)
I have an LG Vu and i love it. Its Faster and i think easier to use than the Iphone. I (unlike most ppl) have a valid reason to not like the Iphone. I work for AT&T and im not in a corporate store. We dont carry the iphone so for the last week, my store hasnt seen 1 customer because theyre all lookin for the Iphone, that is sold out.
But theyre are better things to come that tops the iphone. Wait another half a year, ull see. ;o)

Yes that is true, in six months there should be an evolution. Is the natural order of things. The opposite, means only we are all dead and that is bad. :-)
I thing you talking about Google with Android, or Ubuntu with the new Linux software for mobile devices. And after that could be again Apple etc...
It's just a phone get over it . I find myself reading these forums to get a good laugh over the pathetic 30 yr olds that wine about a cell phone..and wait in line for 20+ hrs for it. I mean is this really where this country is going? Let me guess you apple fan boys got in your toyota prius's ..plugged in your ipods..stopped at starbucks and grabbed your latte's..and then went to your local apple store and sat outside the apple store for hours on ending talking to the other fan boys about this hot new iphone. If this doesnt sound like a real issue to you than you may just want to get into your prius and do us all a favor and drive off a damn cliff. Well thats my 2 cents ..i hope you all continue to enjoy have your heads up steve jobs arse!

Humm.... Then why are you writing? Hummmm!?!?!
What you write can be said from you too, and from who hates so much iPhone. :-) By the way when I buy my iPhone I did not have to stay on a line. Just wait for Saturday late and buy on a local phone store. But I am an European who like good gadgets and a good software. By the way I have not one Prius, but I liked to have one, like any intelligent person. But that opinion says everything about you. Say bad of iPhone, but do not say bad of a car who tries to do less pollution. Like you Americans say get a grip! ;-)
After I write you I just go enjoy some music on my iPhone 3G and work a little more on my Ubuntu PC, hate windows, bad peace of... software. lol Get a Linux!!! or if you pay get something good like a Mac OSX. ;-)
I had no issues with reception with sprint in So Cal here..just overbilling and fighting to make what I know is right with me having their service only a week after cancelling...now with ATT..happy with my bb curve n keeping all my unused minutes ;-)...VZW..good luck with that crapp a company!..just remember to attach the iv drip to your wallett every month!!

THIS FREAKIN IPHONE DOESN'T HAVE A VIDEO CAMERA, MMS OR STEREO BLUETOOTH, WITHOUT THOSE I WOULDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF, LOL!! IM HAPPY CURRENTLY USING A HTC TOUCH AND SAMSUNG INSTINCT ON SPRINT, THANKS!!
I think it is possilbe to find a middle of the road opinion here. The iphone doesn't suck. Just the elitist pricks that think there is nothing better or comparible. I have used the iphone and the GUI is hands down the best looking I have seen. But a pretty interface just doesn't cut it for me. I need picture messaging and email that works. I have used a LG Dare and it's GUI is nice but not as nice as the iphone. Personally i use a Blackberry 8330 Curve. I iphone has caused other companies to put out better products and that is a good thing. Lets remember one thing that will always bring the iphone down to reality. The network the iphone is on is slow slow slow.

They are not elitist pricks. They are people who really enjoy their phones. That is no different than VZ members spewing that they are the best network bs.
Verizon does have the best network you ever heard of lost calls? I have not on Verizon in my 10 year experience no matter where I go. BEST indeed and best CS hands down.

no THEY are DUMB Elistist pri @ 05 August, 2008 08:42:35 PM
You "enjoy" a toy (not neccessarry to have any purposeful functioning apart from SUBJECTIVE pleasure giving to the user) ie the iPHONE
You ESSENTIALLY experience GREATER EFFICIENCY,CONVENIENCE, + TIME SAVING with tasks aswelll as HAVing POTENTIAL NEW OPURTUNITIES created from using a GREAT gadjet/device (which is what Apple legally claim the iPhone to be but they should be sued for slander) in ADDITION to the use being potentially enjoyable.
