iPhone 3G is pretty fast. Safari renders quickly, the 3G speeds are good (over 1 Mbit/sec) and the touchscreen UI is very responsive.

Since when is someone stupid, dumb, retarded, ignorant, and etc... for spending their own money?

I bought an iphone cause I liked what I saw, and had the money to spend. Since when is it your guys' job to tell me how to spend my money and what to use for a device? This website is here to bring different/unbiased views and reviews of all kinds of phones. Each one has their ups and downs.

When you list reasons why I shouldn't buy an iphone that contains unbiased information, I'd gladly read and respond. All these "apple sucks" and "jobs wants yours soul" comments are a waste of Internets space, and have no valid point whatsoever.

Get a grip on reality; you guys aren't kings of other people's wallets or personal choices. Enjoy your WM 6.1, enjoy your Verizon phones, enjoy your sony erickson music phones, enjoy your nokia's, enjoy whatever you'd like, but don't force your opinions down someone else's throat.

I don't think anyone is telling you how to spend your money. All the comments here are just opinions that happened to be fact(?) You cant say this site is to bring different/unbiased views for all kinds of phones because if that was true we would all be robotic bloggers who have nothing better to do than post how great the iPhone is or whatever; is. In a way your supporting what your against. In this case bringing a controversial view into the world of Blog for others to respond to. Besides everyone knows Jobs wants your soul and I support him for that.

Wow... Umm everyone hates the iPhone have you looked at any other thread? If it is a VZW article everyone blasts VZW and preaches the iPhone, Sprint article everyone blasts Sprint and praises VZW.. As far as us telling you that you are dumb for spending money on the iPhone, I dont think you are dumb for buying an iPhone I think you may be dumb for paying for the internet. If you do not want to read people's educated opinions on the phone that you hold so highly, log off the internet and buy a magazine, I am sure that will make you feel warm and fuzzy.

Any pixel issues is a problem be it 1 or a 100. That's the problem. You buy something new and you want it to be a 100% not 98%. As far as the hating on IPhone, I have no problem with it. Buy what you want it's your money. It's the Apple fanboys that suck the way they bash everything without an Apple on it. No matter how you see it, it's still two pixels (a two pixel row) which has purposes.
I don't understand what's with you people fighting over this. I mean I bought an iPhone and regarless of a missing row of pixels (which honestly I cannot notice) or the app quicking once every 50 I open it, I still think that I am getting 100% out of the phone, not 98% but 100%.

Your just trying to make yourself feel better because you waited on a 15 hr line... you can't even send a picture message man. Get over it, the phone has a good web browser and UI and THATS IT. It's missing features that my $30 phone from 3 yrs ago has. Guess what...I'll keep my cheap phone that can do more. If I want to check the weather I'll download my little $5 application from verizon that will tell me all i need to know or I'll simply stick my head out the window.

Now having a shitty iphone and going out of your way to a busy apple store is a biotch and we all know it! in the end you will realize how much of a shitty upkeep it is to own an iphone with all the apple store visits you go through. Instinct > 3g iphone... said it once ill say it again so what its not apple so what the interface isnt miraclous but its functional in every way it needs to be while still impressing with more features than most. You gotta love the price too :O

Sprint's plans are way cheaper than AT&T's and the Instinct is $70 cheaper. But there's no app store, it's not as responsive (the interface) and the browser isn't NEARLY as good. The Instinct is a nice phone, but it's not better than the iPhone 3G.

My LG Dare has faster internet than iphone 3g...I tested it out in the store side by side on about 5 or 6 different websites. I was thinking about switching until i played with it... Iphone sucks actually... I have video recording, MMS, 3.2 mega pixel camera, uncrippled bluetooth (with stereo), the option to have landscape or reg style text input, hapatic feedback, i can change the font/color of my text messages and best of all internet is only 15 bucks (includes vcast videos) AND I GET NO DROPPED CALLS hahha. You iphone lovers can keep waiting on an 8hr line for a piece of crap with a pretty UI. Oh and by the way no one start flapping about the APPS.... my friend who has the iphone told me that after about 5 or 6 times of using an app it will eventually crash and you'll have to erase it then re-upload lol...what a piece of crap. Oh yea, and apps like alarm clock, voice record, voice dialing etc are all free...iphone has these as apps that you have to pay for. What kinda BS is that

I have the Dare as well...Phone is really hot. No problems, easy to use, customizable, super fast and on the best network. I was looking at the iphone too until my friend told me when he update the 2.0 software on his 1st gen iphone it was really sluggish and froze up alot. He also said apps were freezing on him. Not worth it for me. I need something that works. I also heard reception wasn't that hot. Alot of dropped calls with AT&T. Whatever I'm happy. Never any problems with VZW
