A leaked presentation from Verizon has made its way online and there is all kinds of info about Big Red's upcoming plans. First off is the
Samsung i770 and
Treo 800w. The former is the GSM-toting replacement to the i760 which doubles the memory, upgrades the camera to 2 megapixels and offers Windows Mobile 6.1. The 800w
we've seen before, but this is the first time we've heard it associated with Verizon. Look for a 3Q08 release for the Treo. Also mentioned are WM6.1 upgrades for the i760 and PPC-6800, slated for
a June and May launch respectively (yeah, we know May has already come
and gone.) The 6800 upgrade will also bring EVDO Rev. A, Bluetooth DUN
and VZ Navigation to the device.
Other information in the deck includes a confirmation of Verizon's PTT plans, though no release date is mentioned. Lastly is the Novatel Global USB data card, slated to launch in 3Q08 with dual-band EVDO Rev. A, tri-band UMTS/HSPA and quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE so international travelers can truly be connected wherever they go. Hit the link for the full presentation.
