LG has been selling the Versa for several months now and as you all know, the handset is unique for its detachable modules. Out of the box, the LG Versa comes with a QWERTY keyboard attachment, but we now have insider info going the manufacturer will no longer ship it bundled with the phone and users will rather have to buy it separately and what’s even worse – according to the same tipster, the price for the Versa is to remain the same. What do you think about that? Why would LG want to make such a move?

You guys are a little behind on this one. Verizon is already selling it without the qwerty. Its been that way for at least a week or two at my store.

The price also dropped on the phone as well. Two days ago it was $270 w/ a $70 rebate now it is $170 w/ a $70 rebate. You can still buy the keypad if you want & i think its like $25 or $30 which is still a hell of a lot cheaper than it was with the keypad

I think if you want to get people excited about the multiple-attachment capability of the Versa, the easiest way to do that is to give them the first and most commonly-used one for free. Otherwise it's just the Dare 2, slicker screen and UI, stripped-down camera.

I'm sure thats what LG and Verizon was thinking when they first released the phones but now we are seeing that customers are coming in store not using the keypad on their phones. It is a nice feature but it is a waste of money to put into the phone when a lot of people are not using it. From a business stand point this move makes sense because they are saving money by not wasting a product and for the people that do want it they can purchase it seperately & it is still cheaper than when it was packaged with the phone.

I got the versa a week ago. I got it for $130. They told me that they would give me the keyboard attachment for the same price. They thought that it was being cheap, too. I lucked out, I guess

wen are they coming out with more modules?????? it would be cool if they came out with a siled out keyboard, a camera module for better resolution like a 3.0 or 5.0 mega pixel camera.....that what i think...

at my store we dont even push the sale of a versa unless there were guna slap on alot of features and accessories
