With all of the features packed into the LG enV Touch VX11000, it will no doubt be one of the most popular Verizon devices this year. People who loved (or hated) their Voyager will be hard-pressed to find many complaints about this device...
I can where my summer is going to be spent, doing phone book transfers for the thousands that will be getting this phone. I played with our launch kit model, and am VERY impressed. I saw no obvious points of failure. It feels solid and well-built. Hats off to LG for this one. I personally am interested in what they come up with when VZW gets their smartphone!
wow i just got this phone and i love it :)
the touch screen is pretty good and the features are awesome!
whats funny is that it actually comes with some pretty good default ringtones
overall i really like it
i have the dare. its time for a new one, they need to quit milking money out of this one. i loved it when i got it but i can now think of a million things they could update. heres the list: threaded text messaging, slide out keyboard, bigger screen, bigger touch keyboard if they want complete touch, thinner, sleeker design (it looks like the voyagers touch design), better memory, better internet, MORE DISPLAY OPTIONS/MENU SETTINGS!!!!!!!!!! i hate the stupid black and white things. oh and a diffferentttttttt color scheme. black/metallic/plastic black and gray look stupid.

Got this phone on Friday and everything about it is awesome!!! Definately reccomend it to anybody looking for something not quite a smartphone, but still has everything and more.
Although I hate Voyagers (I had one before I switched to the iPhone 3G) I still give this phone a lot of props. They were a little unoriginal with the some things like the cover flow (what a rip!!) but I'm really surprised that they did a lot of cool new things from the last phone. The fact that they have a document viewer is very impressive. Not many (if any) phones that I am familiar with have something like that where you can see a list of all documents visited from websites. (Right now I am guessing that documents in the document viewer are files from the internet and not put on the device through the USB mode.) But I am most impressed with the limited flash support. I know it's limited but it still beats the fact that most phones are still trying to get flash support. I would never buy it but still... they did a pretty good job with this device.
Actually, the USB connection is great! In USB mode, (NOT the music sync mode) you can transfer documents to the phone quite easily by dropping them in the 'my documents' folder. This phone really has me surprised.

If it had Wi-Fi, I would definitely get it, but I don't want an html browser without a way to use it for free. Verizon is pushing up their cheapest data rates too. Enjoy it while you can Verizon. When everyone has Wi-Fi, you'll have to settle for gouging us for text messages ;-)
There is a video review at the very end of the article and I found that you can go on youtube and search phonearena and the phone model you want to see and they are on there as well. Hope this helps :-)
This form factor is idiotic. Why have two screens when you can have a slider? Imagine enjoying the touch screen and then you open the phone to type and the screen you are then using is NOT touch-sensitive. There is no redeeming factor whatsoever.
i agree 100 %!!!!!! a sliding form factor would have gotten this phone top of the list. ofcourse, i guess everyones excuse is that it wouldnt be a true successor if it was a slider. same with env3. why not just have a bigger screen and slide out keyboard, ofcourse that would be like the rumor. anyway i agree thanks for posting this comment.
Personally I like the internal screen. I can flip it open and set it down on a desk or table in front of me and still see the screen. It's kind of like a minature laptop is probably the best way to describe it. Sliders are always flat so you really need to be holding them all the time in order to text or do anything else. Plus with sliders I think you lose some keyboard real estate due to the way the two halves almost always overlap by a half inch or so. You don't have that with this unit. The touch screen is done very well too. Not as nice as the one on my i-pod touch but it gets the job done. It doesn't bother me at all to have the two displays.
I think you slider people are retarded. I love it just the way it is. I think it would have made it just as average as every other phone. I agree ^^ I love the ability to be able to open it and lay it on the table and still be able to see it. Eventually there probably will be a slider phone that comes out so stop complaining about this one and be patient. If you can't stop complaining about your phone then sell it and go on another plan.

the enVtouch is way more comfortable than a sliding texting phone and the double screens is pretty good dont you think if one breaks you have the other unlike the samsung rogue

The internal screen is a wonderfu tool. I have some of that rubber mat for use as non skid folded up on my little ledge where the gauges of my van are. I have the phone plugged into it's charger, open to the internal screen, I can see and hear who is calling, I use my VZ Navigator there also. It sits right where I have to see my speed so I can glance down, see where Navigator wants me to be and drive safely.
I love the internal screen for games also. I read my mail on this screen. Hands free.........Yeah, there are valid reasons for the internal screen and I love it.
I think since I love my old LG EnV so much, I will get along well with the "Touch". I choose the "Touch"
Thank you all for the help in making this decision.
Joe

Do the Env3 and Touch come with full games or just demos? Also, is it possible for more menu interface options to be downloaded from Verizon's website?
