Last week we brought you exclusive pictures of the LG Versa VX9600 and learned that the release date was set for March 1st. Today the phone was spotted on Verizon's Testman site with pricing and full description.  According to the site, the pricing will be $249.99 with a 2-year contract and $319.99 with a 1-year contract (before a $50 rebate). Those of you who don't like contracts will have to pay a full retail price of $449.99 and don't get a rebate. Keep in mind these prices are not set in stone, and could change by the March 1st date. Features include a modular design with detachable QWERTY keyboard, 3" 480x240 touch display, external blue OLED 56x120 display (only when keyboard is connected), 2MP Autofocus camera with flash, Bluetooth, HTML web browser, EVDO Rev A, and supports microSDHC cards up to 16GB.

Any word on accessories? Which, if any, will come packaged with the phone, and which will be separate purchase options, and for what price? I don't mean leather case, vpc, etc; I'm referring to the detachable/attachable stuff, like the keypad. What else can the versa attach to? Also, how does the screen responsiveness compare to the Dare? and does it include the sketch on screen application like the Dare? Thanks for any info folks.

the smaller image on the right says included accessories is the attachable keypad. You will also be able to purchase a gamepad.

For, what is essentially, a scaled down version of the Dare with some attachable accessories... that is quite a steep price. You can't tell me that little secondary LCD makes that big of a difference.

i agree with you. you would think it would be like 119.99 with a 2 year contract. but lets hope this isn't the real price....

concidering all LGs just came off of their long time sale, the dare is back to 250, the voyager is back to 200, its right in line with the pricing of the other LGs for now.
i would like to see it at the 199 b4 MIR though, at most, concidering tis basically a voyager w/out the real keybad.

The phones concept is cool, but not much is different between the versa and dares os. so now your pretty much buying a bigger dare with modules that you best not be losing, because they probably cost at least 35 40 a pop. Also if anyones thinkin this phone is gonna do everything.. dont if u want that go for a black berry or smartphone, dump phones lost there spunk though the arena looks nuts. After the iphone we all expect more from a phone.

This link has a lot of pics of the phone and accessories. There's some pics of them putting the keyboard and gamepad on as well. Neat idea but way behind the times. Seems like something that should've been released like 4 years ago...

The "lower end" Dare phone gets VMM but Dare users are still waiting?

I was thinking of holding out for this phone or just digging in and getting a Storm...needless to say I'm glad I just took the plunge for the Storm. This whole "modular" system seems so juvenile. A lot of other phones do the same things or more now, without the aid of "attachables". I gotta say I agree with *HOVA*.
