LG Voyager, Dare, enV2, Chocolate 3, Decoy, BB Curve, HTC xv6900, Samsung Glyde (damn I hate that phone LOL), Flipshot, Moto Kraze... thats pretty much what I have to say. Oh, and not to mention the HTC Diamond and Pro, as well as the Storm coming in the near future.

Rofl, okay, lets see what phone you'll be using when all your savings hits the craphole after the Depression starts to kick in
I happen to thing the 5400 was a nice phone, sure it didnt do alot but it was reliable had nice big keys and a large display, if your just looking to make calls... hopefully the 5500 will be good too.

Agree. If I find a phone as good as the LG VX5400 in terms of call quality, reception, and battery life, I'll be very happy. This and the LG VX8350 are among the best rated phones for Verizon for call quality and reception.
Plus the VX5500 is much thinner (0.73 inches ) compared to the VX5400 (0.89 inches)! This is KEY!!! Also it's lighter (3.05 ounces versus 3.21 ounces for the VX5400). And it looks better (which is not saying too much since the VX5400 wasn't the best looking phone)!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against converged PDA/phones, but I haven't had the best possible call quality and reception from those devices. I want a phone where I can make a call from any place and make it sound as crystal clear as possible. This is my gold standard. I'll carry my PDA when I'm at work, my real camera when I need to carry it, and my SiRF Star III GPS receiver in my car.
You'll pay for that thinness in batt life. Generally, im in full agreement tho.

Thanks for the comment..... It would make sense that thinner would be worse in terms of battery life.
However, the battery on the VX5500 is 950 mAh (max talk time 300 min) versus the VX5400 which has a 1000 mAh battery (max talk time 280 min). Doesn't seem like much of a difference. What do you think?

you are retarded.. The fact is MOST phone users are more basic. Alot of customers just want cheap and reliable. I sell more of the 5400 than any other phone
I also sell more 5400's than any other phone. They may be cheap, but they're reliable and easy to use, and 75% of the people coming in my store don't need anything more.

Verizon puts out more cheep phones because tahts all people want... even people with black AMEX cards that come into my store ask for the "free" phones... -_-; so yell at all the cheep people out there not Verizon they are just following the laws of supply and demand

I need to get a new phone and have had an LG VX8600 -- would this phone work with my chargers, etc? Would it be a reasonable replacement? I mostly need bluetooth and phone service, camera ok.
Anybody see an improvement upon the VX7000 here? When camera phones were new, I had the VX7000, and was dissappointed they never continued that model. The front of this phone looks suspiciously like my old VX7000, I'm kind of glad to see they strayed away from the "clam" shell design apparent in the VX6000, 6100, 5200, and 5300.

yea because the phones are getting thinner they are squishing them out like pancakes which makes more of a Square/rectangle shape than a oval. Look at the 8350 not thing but round look at the Choco 3 thin and Square. However, being in sales and all the folks wanting thin phones i'm thankfull for this phone to come out ASAP.
