I have had this phone for almost a year now. I live in a somewhat remote area, and cannot get service in my house at all. I have never owned a different phone from verizon before, so idk if its the reception quality or just where i live. The phone itself is excellent, and the buttons are soooo easy to press and you will never accidentally press a wrong one. I text a lot, and I really have no problem, and can text very fast. Sound quality is great when you have service, and speaker phone is very loud and clear. The camera isn't that great, but what do u want from a basic phone? The main thing that I like about it is that its so small and fits into your pocket so easily, you will never find a smaller phone that is as easy to use as the VX5400.

This Phone is Hell

I hate this phone. My razor died so i had to get a new one. I got suckered into buying the LG VX5400.

Because of the new firmware Verizon is using you cannot send yourself ringtones or pictures.

I will be leaving Verizon. I will also dedicate my life to putting Verizon out of business and bankrupting its entire board of directors. I'm dead serious. The greedy SOB's should burn.

Everything's great but the sound

Back in January, my family upgraded from the Samsung a850 to this phone. Just about everything is an improvement: phone conversations are clear and understandable, the design is sleek and shiny, and the battery life is superb.
There are a couple problems, however. Although the sound quality during conversations is great, the volume is very low. Well, at least compared to the a850. My old phone was (and is) loud enough to wake the dead, and more often than not, speakerphone wasn't necessary. This phone sounds as if it's been shoved under several pillows. It's an issue for me, as I like to use my phone as an alarm clock in the morning, and that just doesn't work when it isn't loud enough to wake you. I still use my old phone, if only for those three loud alarms.
My other gripe is that it's hard, when setting a picture as the background, to actually get it to show the whole thing. I wish there was a setting to adjust the picture to fit the width/height of the phone, but no. On the a850, I took pictures of my images on my computer screen, and they showed the whole thing. On this, I still haven't been able to get the whole thing on-screen.
