LG Rumor Review
SprintSprint

Performance:
Using the Rumor was a breeze. The UI is quick and smooth and we had no issues with menu lag, lockups or restarts. In our testing we were able to achieve a few minutes over the rated 4.5 hours of battery life, and reception was good even in fringe areas. Callers said that we sounded clear, and on our end the volume and clarity was just fine. All-in-all the Rumor performed admirably and there isn’t much to say other than that it simply works well.
Conclusion:
For what it is, the LG Rumor can’t be beat. It is a small, cheap device that will play well to the teenage crowd. Integrated AIM, Facebook and a QWERTY keypad will play to this always-connected demographic, and we like that LG and Sprint are addressing this growing market that is catered to mostly by MVNO’s. While we liked many things about the Rumor, it would be nice to see a few more high-end features such as high speed data and a better camera. For the teen looking to stay connected the Rumor is the device for them, but we feel most users will want a device that is a bit more mature.

- QWERTY keypad, AIM and Facebook make it easy to stay connected
- Easy to type on
Cons
- Poor camera, especially in low light situations
- No high-speed data
PAppeal
- Christian Dior:
- Very low
White is in, and the QWERTY is hip, but the Rumor won’t be confused as a fashion accessory.
- Average Joe:
- High
It’s one of the smaller messaging devices on the market, without all the bells and whistles that tend to scare low-tech users away.
- Corporate US:
- Very low
Move along, nothing here to see…
- High-Tech junkie
- Very low
Really not much here for the junkies.
