Okay, not bashingg or anything, but I totally hate this phone: It's kindaa thick. It's kindaa ugly. When I go to the main menu and I have to turn that wheel to get to a certain feature, I can never click the right one. I always spinnn right past what I'm wantingg to view. Plus the touch buttons on it are wayy to sensitive, or somethingg. But I'll be turning the control wheel, and I'll accidently touch a button ever so slightly and all.. I'm very displeasedd with it. Sure it plays music clearly, I'll give it that. The ONLY reason I got it was because a friend of mine said it was one of the bestt phones she's ever experienced. (*which really, hasn't been alot) She said I should totallyyy get it and all; so I did; I regettttt itttttt.. *But I'm Still Not Bashingg.(:
Plays music clearly. That's about it. I mean, it's GOT to do that: it's called a RHYTHM.Ugh, everythingggg about it. (*for the exception of the Pros)

42. Pretty Bummed

I was excited to have this phone as an option. I love the way it looks, I love the features it has.
I noticed right away that the signal strength fluctuates constantly. I have called my phone from my Mom's cell phone and only get through about half the time. I have called from our land-line and only get through about half the time. I do not want to choose another phone, I want this one to have the reception I am used to!!!
I have not had any problems making calls, only receiving them.
Nice design, excellent featuresSoft keys are quite touchy, difficulty receiving incoming calls

i got my rhythm 2 weeks ago i really love it now that i have finally found out how to use all of the things on it at first it seemed very different but after hours of just playing around i have found it much easier to use than some other phone as far as the your music as ring tones i have messed with it a bunch and as far as i see i don't think you can copy a song to your ring tone folder but if you take your sd card out and get someone to bluetooth you songs it sends the below the ring tones folder and from there when you set up your ring tones you can choose the songs instead of the ring tone folder
It looks very good
easy to get around when you get use to it
i love you text/chat feat.
i had to reformat my sd and wipe every song out and reload it before it would let me use it in my LG

44. Good phone

So far I found that the Rhythm to be a pretty good phone. I made the purchase primarily for the mp3 feature with Bluetooth stereo connection to use my wireless headphones. The FM transmitter is a plus, but the output is not that strong. Also, you may want to make sure to use your car charger, as it will drain the battery fast. I do find the whole thing a bet difficult to navigate. Even setting the touchpad to the least sensitive it is still easy to accidentally press the wrong button. It would also be great if you were allowed to change the buttons to features you actually use.
To those wondering about setting your sound files as ringtones; forget it. Alltel/Verizon has removed this option from this phone. You can only use the ones you purchase through their apps, or until someone developes a hack.
Looks nice
Easy BT transfer of files
Difficult to navigate
Can't use custom ringtones
Can't customize buttons

Does the LG Rhythm have internet access? I was thinking about getting the LG env2 for the texting, internet and mp3 then I saw this one. I appreciate any information.

46. Problems with LG Rhythm

I've had my phone for 7 days now. From the first day I had it, I noticed that the bars indicating service would fluctuate, even if I was in an area with superb service. Now I am having problems receiving text messages. My sister, who also has Alltel, will send me a text message from the very same room, and the only way for me to receive it is to dial my voicemail or dial out otherwise. I think I'm going to return it to the store and try a new one. If the next one does the same thing, I suppose I'll have to find a different phone.
Does anyone have any other insights?
Fun phone, lots of neat features, easy to navigate, great soundCan't keep a steady signal or receive most text messages

48. FINALLY! THE SOLUTION FOR CUSTOMIZED RINGTONES!
17 Dec 2008 by Tasha

Just bought the Rhythm a few weeks ago and love the phone. However, like many people, I couldn't figure out how to put customized ringtones on to the thing. I spents days browsing for an answer and everything I tried just didn't work. The Rhythm is tricky because when you use the Micro SD card, you can add songs to the "My Audio" folder and then save those to your phone. However, in order for the Rhythm to recognize a file as a ringtone, that file needs to be in the My Ringers folder. And unfortunately I have yet to find a way to personally access this folder. It doesn't show up on the Micro SD card and I can't move songs into that folder to use as ringtones.
But GOOD NEWS! After many failed experiments, I finally read a post with a solution that REALLY WORKS! And I will share it here for all you other frusterated Rhythm users. The answer is www.ventones.com. This is a website that allows users to upload any music file off their computer and send it to their phone as a ringtone. And it really does work, I tried it with success. Here are a couple tips....first of all, the service is free so don't let the fact that you have to sign up for it scare you away. Second, currently the site doesn't have the Rhythm listed when you set up your make and model...no problem though just choose "Not Listed" and manually put in the model when prompted. Third, after you create/save your ringtone, you are told you have three ways to get the ringtone onto your phone. My experience was that only one way worked...you have to access the Rhythms web browser, go the menu and click on "go to url" and type in the web address that ventone gives you on their website after you create your ringtone. If you don't have web access on your phone, you will need to purchase the day pass. After you type in the ventone url, your phone will show a "web download" happening. And finally, the song is downloaded directly into the My Ringers! Yipee! It may seem like a lot, but it's actually pretty easy and it works! Good luck to all of you.

49. problem w/incoming calls/tm

I bought my first LG Rhythm about 2 weeks ago, and incoming calls would not come through...neither would incoming texts. When someone would call me, it would ring once...then click several times....sometimes going into my voicemail....other times not even that. My phone wouldn't even show that I missed a call. Some days not even one call would go through, unless I was on a call which I've made. Tech support could not help me, and told me to go to Alltel and exchange. I'm on my second LG Rhythm now.....at first it did exactly as the first one....then they did something so that it goes through another phone number, which helped a little. When people call me, it still rings, then clicks and some calls are coming through, others aren't. Now tech support told me to change it to a different model.....which I'll have to do, although I don't like any other phones there. They have very limited variety.
pretty phone
nice featuresincoming calls & text messages not coming through

50. Great Phone

this phone is wonderful. i was debating getting this one(LG Rhythm) or the LG Glimmer. but i was sold when i played around with the display one(fully functional phone) at the Alltel Wireless store. one thing though. in the specs section of this site on this phone, it says that it can play MPEG4. can seem to play the vidio files, but 3gp works fine. i would HIGHLY recommend this phone for a music lover.
keep accidentally tapping the touch screen soft keys, which will mess up whatever u are doing
