LG KS660 is a dual SIM phone

Phones that allow using two SIM cards simultaneously are a great invention. They allow you to carry only one, instead of two devices, which is necessary, in case you have a business and a personal subscription for example. Unfortunately, with a few exceptions (made by Samsung), such devices are being developed by Chinese manufacturers with a doubtful reputation, which copy the names and appearances of leading brands very often. Although being full of features, they aren’t really high-quality made.
That’s why the appearance of a dual SIM phone, coming from one of the “big five” manufacturers is a good news. The LG KS660 will have a large (3-inch) touch screen with a resolution of 240x400 pixels, a microSD card slot and a 5-megapixel camera, which (eventually) will allow for recording of videos with a 720x480 pixels resolution and 15 frames per second. It’s going to support GSM bands, suitable for Europe and Asia (900/1800/1900 MHz), but unfortunately it won’t be capable of using 3G, Wi-Fi and will lack a DivX/XviD support. Another unpleasant detail is its limited release – it’s expected to be launched in February 2009, but only in China, Russia and former Soviet Union countries. We hope that LG is going to release other similar models that will reach a larger audience.
