LG KC910 is touted not only as the slimmest 8-megapixel phone, but also as an all-in-one device with Dolby sound and support for both DivX and XviD for high-quality video playback…
Is it just me or is every new phone coming out attempting the design of the iPhone? minimal buttons on the front, large, widescreen display, about the size of a deck of cards with rounded edges. Nice try with this one LG, and with the Voyager, and Samsung's Instinct, and the HTC Touch Pro.

give me example for full touchscreen phone that don't look like that?
and psst i've got something for your... do u know that iphone is not the first phone with touchscreen?
His comment started of well... until he mentioned the minimal buttons, large widescreen display, about the size of a deck of cards - i think this is a prerequisite for a touchscreen phone - your not exactly gonna chuck a bunch of buttons on a touchscreen are you?
What does annoy me is how the casing angles back in around the display and shows the wall thickness of the casing, and how the profile is overly curved - that is what everyone has copied from the iPhone...

Hi, you are very ignorant and uninformed.
Moto created the first touchscreen phone in 1999, and LG the first candybar style phone in around 2006 with the LG Prada, also the first GUI of its kind (four main icons on the bottom of the screen).
P.S. It has 3 buttons and a large screen on the front.

See: every HTC phone/PPC made. There's like 50, most looking unique. And it's "doesn't", not don't.
And we all know iPhone wasn't the first touchscreen phone, quit being a hater. It was just the first multi-touch input phone. And no matter how hard the mainstream phone developers try they just can't seem to get a touchscreen input as accurate and intuitive as iPhone's. Trust me, I've tried them all (HTCs, Voyager, Viewty, Instinct, Dare, Vu, etc.)

actually it DOES have autorotate - called accelerometer as someone else mentioned - works perfect for texting (turn on its side to get full qwerty keyboard) and videos and pics - works for it all

nokia is at the top, dont act like you know more than they do.
nokia will release it 8 mpx phone in early November, but no details about it form factor yet.
and optical zoom in mobile phones still hard to implement with acceptable quality, because of the restrictions of keeping the thickness to a acceptable level.
this phone looks great, and its good to see some tough competition in mobile world .
just what we needed another phone that looks like the iphone.....yeah yeah, 8 megapixel, smegapixel...whatever.....

Every touch screen is the same. They just have a screen and a few buttons that's all so you can't say Lg copied Iphone just because of that. It's just like saying Iphone copied Nokia phones because they are still phone ans you use it to call, it means that every phone that is evermade with a sreen, take photos and call are all copycats of each other? Honestly people really need to keep their "Iphone copycat" to tathemselves.

I'm thinking of getting the samsung omnia at the moment as its perfect for what I want my phone to do although if this has similar features only better, I might hold out a bit longer for this... does anyone know when it might be released in the uk and if it will be on windows mobile or if not what inplace?

oh and a QWERTY keypad would be good as I don't fancy the idea of a on screen touch one as I'm a keen texter and can't imagine this would be fast and simple.. prone to errors I would imagine
