It really makes you wonder why some manufacturers would create QWERTY landscape phones with touchscreens when the only thing that the touchscreen was designed to do was act as a dialing pad. Here in the US, people who own either the Motorola RIVAL or LG Neon probably ask themselves why the manufacturers ever decide to limit the touchscreen – obviously it can play host to more things aside from being used solely as a dialing pad. Fortunately for LG, it's speculated that they decided to ditch that concept for the successor of the LG KS360 (LG Neon here in the US for AT&T) with the just leaked LG GW370 Shannon – when looking at it closely, it doesn't try to differentiate itself from its predecessor. Now instead of offering a limited touchscreen, LG is rumored to pop on a full working touchscreen that can be used for a variety of functions that are commonly associated with it. If LG does plan on releasing it here in the US, it might confuse some consumers as it closely looks like the current LG Neon that AT&T offers – but then again, that full touchscreen could be tempting enough.
