JAQ and SPL - two new smartphones by i-mate

Yesterday, at the CTIA Wireless IT 2006, i-mate has made an announcement about two new smartphones - the JAQ and the SPL. Both devices are not manufactured by HTC.
Based on Inventec's Mercury, the i-mate JAQ is a quad-band device in candybar design and full QWERTY keyboard. It operates on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 and features 2.8 65k color color TFT display, MiniSD cards support and Bluetoott capabilities.
The i-mate SPL is a tri-band GSM device in stylish candybar design. It runs on Windows Mobile 5 too and has 2.2-inch 65k color TFT display, miniSD cards and Bluetooth support.
Along with the two devices, the smartphone manufacturer also showcased i-mate Suite and club i-mate. The first is a software solution intended to minimize downtime and make data transfer more secure, while club i-mate is a large Windows Mobile user community providing support and content, including software patches and upgrades, games, ringtones, etc.
