Interactive User Guide for the LG Dare now posted on Verizon's site

Click to see a large image.
With the on-line release of the LG Dare only two days away (June 26), it appears that Verizon is getting ready for the big launch. The Interactive User Guide has now been spotted, which shows how to perform various operations on the device, such as dialing phone numbers and charging the battery, but also goes into more detail with the music player, camera, video recording, photo editing, messaging, V Cast, and Bluetooth.

As we reported last week, the Dare is expected to be priced at $199 after $50 rebate on a 2-year contract, $249 after $50 rebate on a 1-year contract, and $409 full retail.

*UPDATE* For those of you who can't wait until the 26th for the "official release", it appears that Verizon's TeleSales is now accepting orders for the Dare.

The voyager actually has you tube in the enhanced web browser. You don't put the site in the browser because there is a link in the browser that is named you tube for you to watch the videos and they play very clear.

So, your saying "YOUTUBE" is the most important feature on a phone that your looking for? That's great news because now I can actually submit your comment into YOUTUBE and maybe get them to make a phone especially for your "YOUTUBE" enjoying purpose and that will be the only feature that phone will be capable of doing for your enjoyment...

the thing that sucks its not a glass interface. i hate the voyagers and ill probably hate this one too. it wears out after a couple of months. i guess ill have to wait for the blackberry thunder. so annoying.
i do like how they added a 3.5mm head jack though. thats pretty awesome

Honestly for an extra $50 a 1 year contract sounds like an amazing idea. The Thunder is suppost to be due late this year early next year, so you should be close for an upgrade when it comes out. I say go for it, worse thing that can happen is you don't like and return it within 30 days buyers remorse.

Yeah, I wish the LG phones that Verizon carries would come in something other then cheap plastic. The only phone that Verizon carried which wasn't made of cheap plastic was the LG vx8700 the stainless steel looking phone. I do like how the Prada and the Vu from AT&T is designed looks wise.

The Vu looks good on screen but in person I wasn't impressed. Cheap black plastic and the screen was HORRIBLE. Dare would be a different story from the way things look, hopefully it will be.

you can't do that anymore unless you pay extra fees.
when I got my new phone they said that they made sure you leave the store with the phone you want because if you want a different one you have to pay extra or something.

I'll correct you on this piece on info... It's at least a $70 difference between 1yr and 2yr contracts (look it up if you want). You have to wait at least 10 months before you can upgrade and when you do upgrade you'll have to pay a $20 dollar device initiation fee... So im not sure if doing what you said is the best idea.

I can't wait for this phone. The rev.a is going to make this phone fly through the internet when you are receiving an EV-DO signal. And has anyone looked at Verizons 3g map compared to AT&T? There is no comparison, verizon's is 3-4 times larger. I travel throughout the country often, and need 3g where I go. And from what I've heard you can view attachments, and youtube videos with no problem. So far I think this is going to be verizon's closet phone to the i-phone. Now before all the i-phone users start to bitch, we all know this is not the i-phone and never will be. But isn't great that there are so many phones to chose from now like the i-phone, if you don't want an i-phone. Yes apple users some of us don't like / want to use apple products. I know thats so shocking for you to hear, but it's ok you can still love apple and your i-phone.

Your right, this is no iphone... It's better. 3.2 Cam, flash, Video, abilty to send/Rec Pic & Video, better 3g coverage, better network... So what is it that the iphone can do better?

The iphone has a user interface that surpasses any phone or device that has been out. The dare uses some of the same basics and builds on it with improved features, and network. But the iphone i think just has implemented the touchscreen in a way that no device has touched... I wonder however... Android OS....

yea I was gonna go get a blackberry curve I was so pumped when I went to get it. I go up to the sales rep and say im gonna get the curve. Hes like "Ok so which black berry data plane would you like. Wtf... so im like "I do not want a blackberry data plan. Hes like "well...you have to get one its required..." WTF is that??? Why would they require it...o yea thats right they try and suck every last penny out of their customers. Anyways I was very dissapointed. I couldnt get the curve cuz i cant afford an extra 30 bucks a month. Anyways getting this phone for sure when it comes out!

Do a little research next time. You have to have a data plan for a Smartphone.

Blackberry is the only phone you need to have a data plan on because blackberries use push e-mail and use the data network all the time. If you went pay as you go you would have a bill for 500 at the end of the month 1.99 per mb . All other PDA's and smart phone can be pay per MB, but you should not be getting a PDA or smart phone if you are not going to use the data feature. Don't waste your money.

to answet ur question as to why you have to have a data plan on the blackberry is due to all of your emails are going thru the blackberry server also the PIN that you can do on that device to talk to other blackberry users is also done thru the blackberry server and pretty much bypasses the carriers network so it has nothing to do with ur carrier trying to make money off of you all though they do it has to do with you paying blackberry for there servers to get push email

It is the contract that Verzion has with Rim (blackberry). This helps to keep the people who just want to look cool instead of using the phone for what it should be used for.

The blackberry is the only phone that requires the data plan and yes it's because of the agreement vzw has with RIM. It is not possible to pay per use (1.99/mb) with the blackberry. So if you want a vzw BB be prepared to spend a lil more per month for the service. Other smartphones, however, do not require a data plan. You can pay per use with them or just have it blocked all together.

Smartphones that have a "pay as you go" feature are not billed $1.99/MB. They are billed 1.5 cents per kb. Which roughly equals $15/MB. While it is true you can have it blocked, you also lose the MMS feature. That means no pix/vid messaging...
