It was just a week ago when Samsung disclosed more details about its operating system called bada. What people were able to see at the presentation was just tiny fragments of the interface, but images revealing more of it have surfaced on the Internet. The materials are actually excerpts of the official OS manual (PDF) and show us what the audio player, threaded style messaging, home screen and integrated social networking functions look like. The pictures show us the home screen consists of 7 pages, similarly to the Android-based handsets of HTC utilizing the manufacturer´s proprietary Sense interface. Moreover, the band typical of TouchWiz that allows for widgets is nowhere to be seen, but the clock itself does look like a widget.
The official website of bada reveals the first cell phone equipped with the operating system is to roll out in the first half of 2010 and the number of bada-based handsets should increase to several in the second half of the year. We do hope we get to see the first bada device soon, perhaps at MWC 2010 or why not even earlier?
