Recently we told you that the HTC Hero and the Samsung Moment were going to get upgraded to Android 2.0. Well, we have even better news for the owners of these two handsets. In a tweet sent out today, Sprint announced that the Hero and Moment will be getting upgrades to Android 2.1 in the first half of 2010. According to Gearlog, this is probably Sprint's intention all along, but the carrier had to keep mum about 2.1 until the Nexus One leaked. It should be a day of celebration for owners of the Hero and Moment as it will be like getting a new device with the latest features. We suspect that we will know more about the 2.1 OS once the Nexus One is dissected.
