Yeah, I didn't like the keypad on the centro much either, but then again I only used it for a couple days. I may have grown used to it had I used it for a longer period of time.
I am glad they're going with WinMo 6.1 though, I didn't really like the Palm OS
Have any of you even used a centro? That is a fantastic device. Granted it runs on Palm's dated OS, but palm is working to finally be able to compete with RIM as far as the OS is concerned. I believe they went with WinMo 6.1 b/c the licensing fees are cheap and Palm OS sales have declined, even with the success of the Centro. But don't bash a great product b/c you have precognitions of previous and inferior models.
I usually just read the blogs and hardly ever respond - but I am not sure why the negatives of the Centro and its keyboard. I am not sure if the comments are by some of you that have used it or not. But it really isnt that bad, i dont have small fingers and I was able to type on that Centro with ease and I had it for over a year until i just got the Treo PRO and although the keyboard is similar to the Centro (note it is actually bigger, although slightly it is a big difference) - the Treo Pro is on a completely different level than the Centro and I liked the Centro. Either way, good luck to all , i guess each devise is to the likes of each individual user but the new device works wonderfully. FYI - also, i am not sure why people hate Winmo so much. Granted Palm OS is simple to use and its difficult at times for change but Winmo does alot more than the outdated OS for Palm. Either way, not here to change anyone's minds just thought my two cents worth was to say I think the new device works great. Have a good one everyone. gee
