Hands on with the Motorola CLIQ

Motorola hopes to save the company with Android, and it's first foray into big G's world is the CLIQ, aka DEXT in Europe. While not as broad as HTC's Sense UI, Moto has their own approach to Android called MOTOBLUR. This schizophrenic interface bombards the user with updates from various social networking outlets such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as updates from your messaging services. The CLIQ is certainly not as high-end as the DROID, in fact we'd call it a mid-range device despite some advanced features such as a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera and 3.1" capacitive HVGA display. This display slides to the right to reveal a full QWERTY keyboard, which we enjoy for the most part, though the convex bottom row is troublesome. With a fresh take on the interface and some nice features like WiFi and 3G, the CLIQ appears to be a solid Android entry for Motorola.
