Hands-on with LG Vu for AT&T

Since the iPhone was released, many manufacturers have tried to match its success and functionality while mixing in their own little additions to it but none have managed to match it. Now, LG brings a new player to the game that joins it in AT&T’s lineup, the Vu.

With its 3” QVGA touchscreen, 2-megapixel auto focus camera, HSDPA/UMTS 850/1900 support, HTML browser, expandable memory slot, mobile TV, and sleek design, it surely does draw attention to itself and give hope for a great alternative. Unlike many other devices that are out there, this one sticks with the all digital role minus a few shortcut buttons.

Stay tuned for full review of the LG Vu.

NO THE VZW DARE has a 3.2MP camera with Schneider Kreuznach lens, and an actual FLASH....
...I agree third party software is what makes the I-phone such a good phone

How can you possibly not know that LG was the first company to do an all touch screen phone. You are suppose to be a non-biased website and yet you don't even know this simple fact. Apple is NOT the first to make an all touch screen phone it was LG with the Prada. For christ sake get your info right and stop praising the Iphone as the first to do what they did. They stole the idea from LG not the other way around.

the article never claimed they were the first. they simply state that manufacturers have tried to match its success, which is an undeniable fact. i probably despise apple more than most people here, but even i have to admit that the iphone is a near flawless hardware/software integration

i played with the vu yesterday for a while. the tv service is great, the touchscreen is pretty responsive and i love lgs menu system, but the phone is so plastic and light that it feels like a toy or a dummy. lg really should have gone with a brushed metal finish, especially at the price theyre charging
