Hands-on with BlackBerry Storm

The eye of the Storm is almost upon us and we are bracing for its impact! The first BlackBerry with a touch screen packs plenty of options in a well looking body...

I think that wifi is a big concern.. I'm a big fan of RSS feeds and I get up-to-date news whenever I'm near a hot-spot (like my home wifi network)then I can take it anywhere. I also like Win-Mo and having my quickGPS update without having to go over a 3g network to get it. I think I'll wait for the omnia to hop on board with Verizon.

I'm not bashing the storm... it looks really neat.. but personal preference is gunna have me hold out on it..

Good luck to the future storm owners...Hope it's everything you want

in home network??? are u serious??? you dont own a computer at home??? and windows mobile can do what better than a blackberry can? create windows files ( blackberry can do that from the box )? sync to outlook ( bb from the box )? calendar and contacts ( again bb )? I am at a loss as to what quickGPS update would be a necessity when this device is aGPS capable and ready to go, so any 3rd party app will work just fine besides VZNav ( I have had one for 2 weeks now and have been using such a app ).....the omnia is going to be nice, but not like this.

OK! we get it you like blackberries.. you don't need to bash another user because they raise personal concern over a certain feture or something that they use everyday. If it's important to them and they feel that they need to enumerate their concern then so be it. You have obviously convinced yourself that the storm is the greatest thing since sliced bread so more power to you. However, if WiFi was not a cause for concern then why would any cell phone maufacturers be including it as a feature. Often times the more unrestricted an device is the better it is. So you go ahead and bash this user for wanting a slightly more functional device rather than a cripled one, and I hope that you enjoy spending the $30 extra a month for a data plan when the same things can be accomplished by WiFi.

Tried to get a Storm today following all the delays. Got to the verizion store this morning and they were sold out all ready. The Nashville store only received 20, but they would be glad to take my order. BS I'm tired of messing with verizon. Im finally going to get the iphone on my way home.
