Funny how people still think verizon is the most reliable network. If they were smart they'd know that statement is just sayin that they have a backup generator. All carriers do.

On point the storm is nice but honestly how many freakin touch screen phones do we need? Can I just get a phone that works well...iphone poop instinct poop bold poop storm meh nothing to get your panties wet about. Mayaswell carry an asus epc does all the same things they all CLAIM to do but end up not doing.

haha lol. verizon is the most reliable! especially during hurricane gustav. verizon showed to have cell service nearly 100% running while others werent even close!

all this coverage crap should stop already. i and half my fam and friends have att and the other half have verizon. i know for a fact that verizon has holes in their coverage as does att. as some one pointed out, its due to licensing agreement, the amount of towers in a designated area, roaming, and overlapping segments. everyone who comes out here blasting on att, more than likely had service problems with them and your designated area. same goes for people blasting verizon and all other company's. NO ONE HAS THE COUNTRY BLANKETED WITH SIGNAL. Verizon has great coverage, but no one gives att credit for superb world wide coverage.hence the more bars in more places.meaning world wide not just US. different technologies different coverage and devices. DIFFERENT OPINIONS. use whats best for you. if you don't agree your either to young to understand and have mob mentality or just plain dumb and ignorant. As far as wifi it should have it for when you ARE in a location that has it just to bump up the speed. if your happy with coverage speed, then good for you enjoy. again its to bump up the speed. isn't that what everybody wants FASTER everything.wifi will do it. dont say you dont need it cuz it dont got it!

use a laptop then to use internet if your that concerned with speed and wifi, bigger screen duhhhh :-) haha lol i do agree with you about coverage tho, if i go in my basement i have no service :-( and at&t phones have none either

The iPhone kills this phone in every way, except for email.
Storm isn't user friendly, or intuitive. I beleive we failed in making
a device that can compete with the iPhone. ATT's Exclusive contract
on the iPhone ends in 2009, and I beleive Apple is making a CDMA version
of the iPhone. VZW is open network now ya know...

umm, yea, the iphone kills the storm in every way except for....(you forgot a couple of things) e-mail, picture and video messaging, works in more countries, cut and paste, able to edit word, excel, powerpoint, turn-by-turn navigation, better camera, able to take videos, stereo bluetooth, able to txt in landscape, all tests show faster 3g speeds on the internet for the storm, removable memory and battery, better resolution, and that's even all, but yea, the iphone kills the storm, absolutely.

Its a blackberry... there's nothing new. Touchscreen has been done and done so much better. iPhone runs a better OS that you can do a lot with. Cut and paste?? Haha wait till you try it. This phone should eat the iPhone for dinner! It came out 1.5 years later. This phone will not come close to iPhone sales. CEO's and VP's of major company's will have iPhones! This phone doesn't do anything new. Lame click screen. Blackberry Storm is junk. Get off VZW's nuts. They could care less about you... unless your got money, which you probably don't. I doubt you would use half the features of the Storm. Cut and paste this up your a$$. iPhone was groundbreaking like your mothers foot steps, and all these other devices are trying to catch up! Lets give Apple 1.5 years and see where the Storm is in sales...

iphone and the storm are and will be badass phones period. just cuz they lack features doesnt make them terrible. some people need wifi some dont. some need mms and others dont. why cant people just be happy with what they got and quit trashing the others.

Ok to number 18. ur dumb stfu, go home and bang ur dog, cuz u sir a lying sack of horse sh*t. it is in fact ILLEGAL for and wirless carrier to actually pay ur termination fees with another carrier. now agent stores may do it. however, the carrier that the lines are being ported out of, will have full ability to start a lawsuit against them. thats why no major carrier can do it. most of the time they issue a MAYBE a $50 switcher credit or free acc. but u may wana check federal regualtions before you go sayin that ATT did this when in fact if they did, they got lawsuits comin out their @ss. oh wait they do, more bars in more areas, fewest dropped calls etc. and who sued them? verizon wireless bc ATT was flat out lying

Having actually used one and read the reviews on the device so far i can recommend a few things. First of all kudos to blackberry this is a sweet device! I will admit when i first picked it up and started playing with it i wasn't too impressed due to the lackluster screen response and device speed until i changed the screen/keyboard settings to make it more sensitive, and the presses faster, from then on it was awesome. The keypad is far better than any other keypad i've used on a touch screen device. Having experience with the iphone and the htc touch among others i far perfer the touch and click. I read the review on engadget and i have to call for a second opinion on that one, from what i read it sounded like they didn't believe the touch and click screen enhanced the experience at all. I completely disagree it adds a lot a depth to the device and functionality that other pda cannot match. Currently having the htc titan, i can say that when i came back to using my device i really did miss the click functionality. The browser is amazing, due mainly to the huge screen and high resolution its easy to use and renders pages just as well as the iphone if not better. The phone actually feels solid, its got some weight to it but its not too heavy to become burdensome. Anyone comlaining about how the screen "floats" for lack of a better term, well hello capitan obvious it is a giant button, and really it wasn't bothersome to me at all. All in all i have to say there are a lot of great devices out there for me this device beats the iphone for many reason (mms, higer resolution camera and great flexiblity for apps and travel). Are there flaws with the device, sure the UI could "flow" better and look prettier but then again i've always been a function over form guy. If you want an iphone then yay for you go get one, have fun, love your phone. But don't expect me to take your opinion over my personal experience, this device is better. Thats my opinion now go get your own by actually comparing the two, and don't rely on who says what on engadget or even on this site. Just try it if you like it we have similar minds, if you don't then ok. But don't berate anyone who says they do, saying that iphone owns all, there are several devices that i like better than good ol jobbs' "best" effort.

iphone has 1 + year of life, for all that it does and user interface no one gives apple credit. bb has been making phones for years and it took the iphone to make it step up. apple for one year that best is exellent. give them time, theyll come up with something that bb will have to copy again. thanks to the iphone now you got a wave of wannabe's. we'll see the next effort

People need to stop arguing about cell phones. You act like you created the i-phone or the storm yourselves! It is simple: Read the reviews, go to the store and test the phones...every person has different needs and each phone satisfies some or most of them. Nobody is forcing you to buy either phone.
