Got mine July 2nd and has worked flawless till just tonight. Went to adjust the display settings in Settings and Tools and the unit always reboots itself. Is it just me or are others having the same problem. I went thru 6 Samsung Glydes in a matter of 1 month and now this. I begining to think that Verizon gets phones that are make of bubble gum and paperclips. Whats going on here???

I have the exact same problem with my phone. I got it on the 3rd, I've only used it for 2 days, yesterday when I went to Display Settings, it kept rebooting itself. I think it's a glitch. But I'm taking my phone to the store and let them sort it out.
I went thru 9 razors and then came my upgrade. I got the alias it broke I got the glyde it broke got another glyde it broke got the voyager and it broke and now I have the dare and I don't have any problems but when I had my voyager it did the same thing it Rebooted itself. I called verizon and they Said take otto a store because it actually could be a serious problem but then the dare came out so I just ordered that. The worst phone out of all these phones was the glyde. It was a terrible phone for me like it would press buttons by itself and stuff it was wierd and I wouldve gotten a new voyager because it really is a great phone but then the dare came out and its my favorite. I haven't experienced any problems yet but it is verizons best phone no doubt I love it! But if ur having these problems def take it into a store

Hey, a quick way to solve it.
1. try to power off and power back on.
if that doesn't work
2. take out your battery
if that doesn't work.
menu -> settings -> phone settings -> security (enter your lock code) -> reset default
it will turn your phone to factory defaults.
AND.... if that doesnt work, got to the same place again, but do restore phone...but warning: you lose all customer info on the phone...

None of these options worked. This is the 2nd Dare I've had with this same problem. Is LG working on a fix for this?

I was having the same problem with my phone restarting each time I hit display settings. I noticed one morning that the clock and date weren't displayed on the main screen anymore, so I tried going into display settings to change it and bam it restarted every time. This is, however, my 3rd Dare. I had the same problem with all 3 phones. I was so fed up this time that I said screw it to getting a new phone. It would probably just do the same thing.
thanks for the tip. Resetting to factory default settings fixed the problem!

Looks like a lot of people have the Dare already. I haven't ordered yet, but it is my favorite so far. The other choice was the ENV2. I did go to the store and play with both and I found the virtual features on the Dare were easy to use (even with nails! YAY!). I see a lot of features I've never had and I'm wondering if I have to pay additionally for these features. I have to change my plan to get the phone. I have a grandfathered plan and I don't want to change it for this phone if it isn't great! Say I change to the 1400 min unlimited text plan. Do you have to pay separately for email access? The ringtones everyone is not happy aren't available yet---are they free (when they are available) or do you have to pay for each one of them as well? What are VCast and VZ Navigator? I thought I had VCast on my ancient Razr but I don't remember that it meant anything but a big ticket. HTML browser---well, I know what HTML is, but I'm assuming I would need to buy in to a lot of features, including this one to get it. I don't mind a phone to grow into (gotta love it for at least TWO YEARS), but I can't do a lot of additional expenses.
i just got the dare i cant figure out how to delete recent calls anybody know how?

To rerase recent calls individually, highlight the number you want erased and then click the small square in the bottom right hand corner. Select delete/erase. The erase all recent calls, right click the bottom square and erase all.
Guys Guys Gal Gals,You can't compare this Dare to the I-Phone for one simple reason,The I-Phone is a SMART PHONE while the DARE is a Regular Cell phone.(YOU HAVE TO COMPARE APPLES WITH APPLES NOT A PEACH WITH AND APPLE) Second of all There is no network that will beat VERIZON's. AT&T can try all they want but it will never beat Verizon. I've owned the I-Phone and the Dare both phones are great but like I said before VERIZON's network will not be beat!!! So now I currently own the Dare till the BlackBerry Thunder comes out then will talk again. The I-Phone would have been the best smart Phone if it was on Verizon's network but Apple messed up.
