I just ordered the dare and I'm really excited but for all the people that say its going to be the iPhone killer I'm not so sure bout that because if we could get the iPhone we All would because this is a "copy" of the iPhone-aka iPhone killer-but its just because all of us veriOn users can't get our hands on an iPhone but its truly a great phone and that's why all companies are making a copy but seriously I'm not sure the iPhone will be beat for a while now and I love the dare and I'm really excited but I think its going to be more competitive to the vu and instinct which isn't bad. I think the dares going to be a great phone(why I ordered it) but we all know it can't keep up with apples iPhone but they both have their flaws and im sure the dare will shine in some areas but the iPhone will continue to be a popular great selling phone
when i go online (the web browser) i go to hotmail.com (to check my e-mail) i enter my username and password, and it won't let me sign in, because i need to enable cookies..... thats what it says ........ how do i enable them?? someone try it out and help me ....

I think they do it on purpose. You have to get the email app... I think it's 5 bucks a month. Then again, I could be wrong
i got the same msg for hotmail. i was so upset, and i was really starting to think it was a scheme to get my 5 bucks/month more. to access hotmail, do not try to enter the web address on the www. screen. instead, hit the web browser icon. it will take you to the VZW screen. click on #2 email. then you will have a choice of different emails (ie: yahoo, gmail, aol), for hotmail, click on #2 windows live. then you sign in with your username and pw. so far, i can only read new emails and send new emails (but not reply or delete). this serves me fine for when i might be waiting for some important email. i don't know if verizon is going to charge me for this service. it doesnt look like they will. if they end up charging me 5 bucks on my next bill, i will post an update to my comment. good luck. i hope this works for you.
MICRO-SD slot: Has anyone tried to use this slot? My Dare will not hold the card in place properly. Just was wondering if anyone else had this same problem yet or not?
Besides that I have had the phone since Sat June 28th, and its been great! Touch takes a little getting use to, but once you have it down your good to go.
It would be nice if there was an easier way to get 3rd party applications to work: ie "google maps."
P.S. has anyone got the phone to sync with the rhapsody music service yet?
I just got the dare and I love it. If ur considering getting it definently don't second guess it. This is a great phone and u won't regret getting it. I thought it would be an okay phone but I have no problem with the qwerty the touch screen is extreemely responsive and if u read the reviews or saw the video review on infosync world do not let this affect ur descision because basically every bad thing he said was wrong TRUST ME!! Also for anyone that has the phone I changed the wallpaper that originally came with the phone and I cannot access this picture any longer. Its not under videos or pictures and I want to access it. Can someone help me please. Thanks=]]
I have no doubts the iphone is superior in many many ways to the dare…BUT I think there is an important item that everyone is missing….$$$$$. Yes they both cost about the same, but the monthly unlimited data fee for the DARE is $15 versus the monthly for an iphone which is in the $50 range…that is over 2 years! Considering it’s great camera and music features and that the DARE’s overall cost is so much less than the iphone… I will gladly take the DARE for the next 2 years and wait until generation 3 of iphones and others are released.
