Two days ago we mentioned that certain Windows Mobile 6.0 and 6.1 based HTC devices were vulnerable to attacks via Bluetooth. It does credit to the manufacturer that they responded promptly and released a hotfix to improve the security of the Touch Diamond, Touch Pro and Touch HD. We hope a similar hotfix to take care of the same issue, affecting newer devices like the Touch Diamond2 and Pro2, will come out soon as well, so users can feel at ease leaving the Bluetooth function switched on. The Hotfix itself, along with instructions on how to install it are available here.
