Description:
HTC Vivida is a CDMA phone with joypad sliding desing and is expected to be available from Verizon Wireless. The phone runs Microsoft Mobile for SmartPhones 2003 and features 65k display, VGA camera, Bluetooth(the US model may be lacking it), Infrared, MMC/SD card slot, Pocket Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player, E-Mail client and speakerphone.
This is one of the first phones that will also support R-UIM or a Removable User Identity Module - a module that will allow CDMA users to transfer all account information, contact and save data from one device to another (much like SIM card in a GSM device). To make it even more exciting, the R-UIM can be used in GSM devices also and allow roaming across CDMA and GSM networks with the same multimode terminal or switch between a CDMA and GSM device (the CDMA and the GSM operators need to have a roaming agreement in place in order for this to work).
