When the Alias U740 came out two years ago, we were intrigued by the design, but the function left a lot to be desired. There's been rumors that the Samsung U750 would be a replacement, and today we learned this to be a fact. The new device will simply be called the Alias2 and has a similar dual-hinge design, but there have been some changes. Most noticeably the keypad has dynamic-keys (such as E-Ink) that will show numbers if the phone is flipped open in portrait mode, or QWERTY letters if opened in landscape mode. This is the first time we've seen this technology used on a Verizon phone, and we'll be looking for it at CTIA!
