Thats true. The iPhone was actually supposed to come out on Verizon but they could not agree so they turned to AT&T. Anyways, the Dare looks sexy.

I work for verizon and got to play with the dare and let me tell you i think by far this phone is better than the iphone. it does the same thing with the pictures when you put it on its side and also when you are either surfing the web or writting a text message. the touch interface i thought was a lot smoother than the voyager which is a plus. and the picture quality was amazing. definately looking forward to getting this phone when it launches

You're referring to the phone's accelerometer, which is, in fact, the same thing used in the iPhone.

Only thing I like better about the iphone is that the screen is bigger... I'll put that aside for a better network and get this phone instead. It still looks hott

They're not comparable devices. The 6900 is a smartphone, whereas rhe Dare is not. They aren't in the same league.

Has anyone on here actually played with this gem yet? I need to know if this is as good as everyone is saying. Ive been hearing that the new blackberry thunder will be available september. And now for $9.99 more a month, this phone could receive work emails. Decisions decisions...

this device is going to make me feel complete again!!!! lol....
In 2004-2005 i spoiled my self and bought a Sony Ericsson S710a phone, to me this was the best phone out there at the time cause it had MP3 player, removable memory stick, a digital camera feel w/flash , plus awesome sound quality when playing music....
...eventually i kept gettin so frustrated with not having service that i broke the phone, but liked the phone so much that i bought another one spending around $750 between both phones (one of them i bought from Europe S700i)...eventually this one ended up broken as well because it would not get service whats so ever and i was constantly frustrated with the phone....(i know i know i need anger managment lol) but regardless i am now a very very happy VZW customer (especially since this baby is coming out) and just for those of you who are wondering, i have broken VZW phones but it was due to a crazy ex that i had haha and me being drunk while arguing with her

can anyone please tell me if the interface going to be glass or plastic...thats the number one thing i didnt like about the LG voyager. the user interface was made of cheap plastic. does anyone know? also will it have a 3.5mm jack or 2.5mm jack?

This phone does look nice, dont get me wrong. Personally, I have never like the iphone at all. It has always been the ugliest touch device I have seen, and you cant do anything with it. I have the HTC Touch if that tells you anything, it is amazing and you can change every aspect of the phone. On the other hand, this phone looks really nice as well, but I have a feeling it is going feel cheap and made purely out of plastic. The LG Dare is the exact same phone as the LG VU, and that is nice but feels very cheap and not good at all... Sorry, I love the way the VU looks, but it feels like a toy.

actually it seems the only thing the vu and dare have in common is the name and they are both touch screens. If you read around people that have tested it say it is built very good, not cheaply. so before making any comments about how the phone is built you better wait til it comes out to judge that aspect. plus the iphone and htc touch are both smartphones, so i hope you could have a little more customization on them, but hopefully the dare won't be limited to the usual verizon crap.

the phone will have a 3.5mm jack, and as far as the interface goes, its still a pressure sensitive screen like the voyager, only not as cheap...if that makes any sense.
