It looks like the new version of the official Facebook app for the iPhone is almost ready. In fact, the author says it is “98% done”. That is pretty cool, having in mind the list of newly-added features is really long.
First of all, the home screen will be renewed. It will show icons in a 3x3 icon grid, with the news section now incorporating live-streaming. In addition, the “like” option will allow you to show your support for certain friend updates. Other new features include events, notes, the ability to create photo albums, to upload photos to any album, to zoom on photos, easier photo tagging, quick calling and texting people from the Friends page and so on. Unfortunately, the developer has not added support for push notification, but intends to do so with the future 3.1 release later this summer.Apple iPhone 3GS Specifications | Review
