What happened to the Motorola Napoleon??????? Winmo pro sucks, touchscreens suck. I want a global smartphone that I don't need to pull out a stylus to hassle. Jesus christ verizon, do world roaming business users really want a media phone like the motorola crap you have now? No, they need one with email, calendar, tasks that syncs with exchange.

Sprint's version looks the fattest because of the rounded edges.

whoa whoa guys i'll agree with you on one thing verizon does take too long to release phones thats why everyone is frustrated with them. Price is nothing but a number if you really want a device you'll pay it. i.e. the first gen of the iphone people lined up and people paid its a known fact apple came to vzw first before att but they couldn't come to an agreement cause they were both too greedy. profit wise it didn't make sense to vzw. but thats here nor there. it is true vzw network is solid and call performance is superior, and yea yeah it might not work on your top floor or in your basement but no carrier can gurantee. i use to live in chicago and att is horrendous and this is not from my experience this is from people complaints, but what that means is every region is diff another example is sprint, it is also disastrous in chicago but n.carolina i have a cousin that swears by it. the biggest reason why customers leave vzw is becuz of a bad experience, and 99% it is confrontation with an employee or manager about a policy or because the customer is requesting something ridiculous like replacing a broken phone for fee not because of the network or cost. The cost is equal to att when you discuss price plans but if you include the data plans vzw is cheaper by a few dollars. tmobile and the rest of the resellers are just a bunch of fluffers, but there fluffing good. and all there doing is giving you more for a buck but your still forking over 100 a month (thats only to promote competition within the states) look at this way would you go buy a nissan altima or pay the extra 20 and get a mercedes its alll your preference so if you cut the little guys out and just compare the two big dogs the only thing you can do is look at the numbers. Vzw has been performing better ad growing faster than att. ea. yr they have closed the gap to total customers without acquiring any major carriers, that tells you something. there more profitable and if you just analyze the wireless companies alone w/o landline division vzw has more cash to throw away. the only reason why att is still beating vzw is because of the iphone, just imagine if it initially did. by next yr verizon will exceed att from the acquisition of alltell in which they'll be the biggest by next yr. If you talk to att employees there team meetings consist of following verizons business plan. There CEO even admitted that vzw was doing something right and that they need to closely follow them. end result if you ask vzw customers they'll say they love vzw the ones that leave go to reseller thats cheap like Kricket to save money and lose quality or leave out of spite (disgruntled customer or employee)

It is an over clocked version of the tytn xv6800, they avoid using new technology. Matter of fact they chose an opposite direction regarding technology away backward and away from the other smart carriers who satisfy their customers, customers are last in Verizon mind.
They screwed all of the new smart phones so buyers just think of the storm, its not even ethical. They even screwed the storm by taking away the WiFi.
Storm: No WiFi
Touch pro: No new generation of chipset MSM7201a, or accelerometer with reduced the memory (same or less performance as the TYTN because the VGA screen requires more power so with the 528MHZ (VGA) u get same performance as of 400MHZ (QVGA) screen, technology should make things better and more sophisticated
Samsung Omnia: No VGA screen nor Auto focus Camera ( what is the sense of having 5 MP with out Auto Focus)
Saga: no VGA, no flash and no auto focus
That is sick
I wish the government starts to keep their eyes on carriers control over the handset there should be some regulations here.
Carriers can control the service not the handset that is used by customers.

you have no idea what you talking about, the omnia has af, the tp does use the 7201a, and neither the omnia or saga's gsm counterparts had vga screens

Why does verizon act like their going broke by making their phones and plans expensive, I live in nyc pretty much all payphones controlled by guess who verizon as well as land lines depending on where you live and they have cable and internet now. Shit verizon stop being greedy a***s you have enough of our money. they REALLY REALLY * the pro over with the specs and design it's a useless brick.

Okay..This is for those of you who are just plain stupid.

Verizon has decided to add a 30$ data plan package for there smart phones effective in the middle of this month. this data package does not include voice or text message. They add this to your bill. They have done this not because people are calling in and complaining about the cost of the data they used an how they feel that they should have NOT to pay for it. The company has decided this because THEY WANT THE MONEY that people will pay for it wither you have wifi or not. It is Not about people being cheap. With this going into play very soon Verizon has CUT OFF a certain percentage of consumers who would purchase a smart phone for the looks. Verizon really needs to be more worried about SELLING the phones that due to this plan they have now lost sells for. I'm sure the manufacturer's would like there percent to be higher through sells.

Now on to the Touch pro. This phone is bottom line OVER PRICED. It has less everything!!! Why would Verizon do this?.....Because the Storm is what they are putting a lot of money into. I think the Touch Pro is a hell of a device, I think it is one of the better phones to be released this year. The sad part is Verizon doesn't seem to think so.......Really, I looked at the Fuze on At&t, and I understand why people want to jump ship and leave Verizon. In the long run it is cost effective as long as you have good service in your area. The same thing can be said for the Sprint version of the Touch Pro as well. really though I would just go to At&t and pay the proper and justified amount for the above device. The phone is stronger and the network is almost as good as Verizon's. Sprint has the best plan, if you go with there unlimited calling plan. No company has got that beat. At&t's plans are close to the Verizon's plans, but the Touch Pro is the worst of the three phones if your going with the Verizon plans..You have to pay for the data plan aside from the voice minutes...I could go on but there is really no need to. Beside s the data package would be needed if you want to fully enjoy what the Touch Pro and Diamond have to offer. But for those who are not to sure...... Look at the facts and compare the phones. Research witch network is better in your area. look at the prices, then decide just how much you want this phone....Then do something. Verizon and At&t are pretty close when it comes to coverage areas. ( Even with the purchase of Alltel. ) I like Verizon, but a bad move is a bad move.........Just some food for thought.....Actually it's more like common sense.

the reason they are forcing data plans because they have had way too many sheep who buy smartphones on pay as you go data and use so much that they end up with a 10k bill that they dont want to pay, and they end up having to be credited because they bitch so much to CS (even though they are at fault).

That still doesn't equal the reasoning to charge everyone a monthly data package. Over a few bucks and simply not standing there ground the customers end up suffering. I understand both sides of this situation there's even a third side to the story, but non the less this action is not gong to fix this problem. This action will only cause them to lose customers and sales of these phones. Even the cost is a bit much if you really think about it. 30 bucks for a package that you may use only a few times a week? if you own company or have a job that makes this option mandatory, I can see this not being a issue. But if your into selling phones........Then this is a problem for certain devices.

It also doesn't explain why they are charging way to much for this device. " The Network" is a Verizon's fan-boy logic, I like Verizon, but you won't get that fan-boy crap here. I'm just being realistic about the over all situation Verizon has put there customers in. Good coverage or not, a bad move is a bad move.......

Seems the larger the become the more expensive they get..Why be the best if people start not being able to afford you? With the way things are looking in the states why is Verizon adding on to there bills?
