Consumer Reports places iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G as numbers 1 and 2 in smartphone ratings

Commenting on the first place model, the magazine said that the 3GS showed "strong performance in everything but voice quality. Consumer Reports decided to blame the handset for that issue although it could be a problem related to the AT&T 3G network. On the positive side, Consumer Reports praised the device for it's superior web browsing, navigation, multimedia and battery life. And while the Pre finished well behind the iPhone, reviewers were pleased with the multitasking ability of the phone.
