Seriously, I don't think you guys understand the concept of Fashion or high-class phones. Anyways, the phone looks decent (although very feminen) and is very flashy.. thanks to those crystals. Doesn't seem like something I'd buy. Wondering who is manufacturing it.

I seriously think that we all need to think this through. It is only being sold in China and Russia at first. It's more than likely being manufactured in China which means inferior junk. Dior is probably paying around a grand for each phone to be manufactured which means a huge profit for Dior. The actual manufacturing cost is probably somewhere around 5 hundred dollars which means that the manufacturers are making a decent profit off of each phone thet produce. They are more than likely employing children for 60 cents an hour to assemble the phones. Everey one is a winner except the consumer. The phones have no new technology, they aren't any different than the phones we have now except that it now has a designer name and some crystals glued to the front. We worry too much about how we look and what people think of us. That's why things like this get manufactured because they know some fool will buy it in order to get better social standings. Let me ask you this? Can you eat this new phone? Probably not. And yet with the failing economy, you would think that a non edible thing such as a 5 grand phone would be one of the last things a person would want to buy. I have seen people walk down the street with their cell phones in thier hand ready to dial 911 if the homeless man across the street started to walk toward them. They never once wonder how that person got there. They are only concerned that they are about to be bothered. Let me go ahead and tell you that most of the homeless people you see, have college educations and degrees. They have been unable to find jobs in the field in which they studied and have found themselves in despair and ended up being homeless. It's not thier fault, and yet we act like they are the very disease of the earth. We sometimes throw a dollor or two at one of them. That's enough for lunch por maybe a partial dinner, or better yet maybe a pack of cigarettes or a bottle of cheap wine. When they have nothing and have no way of bettering them selves, they fall deep into depression and unfortunately turn to alcohol and drugs to blur thier reality and make life more livable for them. So the next time you want to spend 5 grand on a phojne, just remember this, if you lost your income for 4 months, would you be homeless? Would you be out there in the cold, begging for help and getting a dollar here and there. Would you be out there holding onto your 5 thousand dollar phone? If so, how will it taste?

Seriously, if the phone bothers you so much, don't buy it. Don't read about it. Shun it completely, but not on a forum. Nobody cares. There's no excuse to be homeless. People come here from other countries for opportunity and get it. They own business, they work, they buy the houses, they live lives that would be considered "The American Dream", yet all us Americans do is make excuses for our people being poor. "They lost their jobs." Okay, well McDonald's is always hiring. Craigslist works in any public library, get on there and look for who needs a roommate, move in, pay rent, get back on your feet. $5000 is only a lot of money if you don't have it. Don't get me wrong, I don't have it, but what's the difference between you having $100 and spending $10 on a meal and someone else having $1,000 and spending $100? It's all 10%. My point is, if you can afford it, spend it on whatever you want. If you can't, of course you're going to while about those who do. If you're content with your phone, that's nice. Let the people who actually want this phone enjoy it.
