BlackBerry Bold trade up program hints at new iPhone This article contains unofficial information.

advertisment:
An anonymous tipster from AT&T has leaked some rather interesting information.  This tip is interesting for a couple reasons.  First, AT&T has a site for their customers to trade in their cell phones specifically to upgrade to a BlackBerry – the BlackBerry Bold Trade Up Program.  Just select the phone you want to trade in, the BlackBerry model you want from AT&T’s inventory, and you get some real value for your current phone toward the purchase of a shiny new BlackBerry.

How does this tie in to a new iPhone model? One of the options in the drop-down list of phones you can select for trading up is a 32GB iPhone for $355.00 toward your BlackBerry trade up ($205 for a 16GB iPhone). Did AT&T accidentally spill the beans on an upcoming 32GB iPhone? We will find out soon. Check out the site and see for yourself.  According to the anonymous tipster, there is no guarantee that this information will stay up for long.

I hope that was a mess up or I'd be really confused. It wouldn't make sense for Apple to make a 32gig iphone 3G when they are coming up with a new iphone thats $299 for 32gig in July (same as the current 16gig price for the iphone 3g). Hopefully they were just doing some random testing with the site. But maybe it has something to do with trading your old iphone 3G for the next-gen iphone?

Ok so this has NOTHING TO DO WITH ATT! RIM does its own trade in program completely independent of ATT. now while there is a nice blackberry bold section, this can be done on any carrier. unless RiM is stealing secrets from att(or apple) this is purely a mistake.

Okay but it says 32gig iPhone 3G and there is no 32gig iPhone 3G so people are thinking that it might be a mistake but it may be hinting that apple will allow a similar service like blackberry where people will be able to trade in their 8 or 16 gig iPhone 3G for the 16 or 32 gig next-gen iPhone. So in a way it kind of is related
