BlackBerry Bold gets priced, dated (CDMA'd?) This article contains unofficial information.

InfoSyncWorld claims to have the pricing and availability info for the upcoming BlackBerry Bold.  It's no surprise that it will land on AT&T first, currently targeted for July, and will set customers back $300.  The other three major carriers will follow in September, though for some reason T-Mobile pricing is $350 while VZW and Sprint remain at $300.  We're pretty surprised (read: pleased) to see the CDMA Bold drop so quickly, seeing as how it took RIM nearly a year to get the Curve out the door, and we'd expect this to land on Alltel as well since they were the first to snatch up the 8330, but for now this is all just rumor.

tmobile buying sprint?? umm. nope. tmobile is GSM sprint is CDMA. A)tmobile is possibly looking to sell off american assets and get out of america not buy things... b) sprint is looking to sell off nextel and stop bleeding profusely from the wallet.

You do realise that Verizon, a US CDMA carrier, is owned by Vodaphone, a major European GSM carrier, right?

How is that different than Deutsch Telekom buying Sprint, again?

the difference is that Vodaphone is not in the USA.

Actually that's a joint venture, VZW owns 55% while the Vodafone owns 45%.

Why would they be trying to get out of America when they just announced the launch of their 3G network?

VZW does not own 55% of its self. Verizon (landline) holds 55%. If you are going use facts, use correct facts.

Correction: Deutch Telecom is looking at purchasing (Nextel) not sprint! This is to absorb the 60 0000000 000 in debt since sprint purchased Nextel.

on the one hand, it seems kinda silly that they would be releasing both the bold and the thunder (touch screen blackberry) in the same month. you would think they would want one to sell really well, and then release the second one after to also sell really well.

however, on the other hand, it might be a good move so there is something for everyone's different tastes

Its hilarious to me how many retards jump on this site and post as though they will die if they dont tell the whole world which cell phone provider sucks. Random trash talk about crap you don't understand is... retarded. Think about it, who else do you know that just blurts out words that have no relevance to the topic at hand. Retards. Only retards.

For the 1st quarter results, while AT&T remains the biggest carrier, Verizon Wireless is the 2nd biggest and just about the most successful.. and compared to sprint/nextel and T-mobile. Their numbers dont even come close. No one can even tell me different, cause i work for Verizon wireless.

I agree! Explain this (Sprint advocate) explain why (sprint has reported) for the 14th consecutive sales quarter a 30 sales loss in revenue and in loss of customers... 14 quarters-- The CEO and his 99.00 everything campaign is a scarce- desperate attempt to regain customers regardless of how many billion dollers they lose because of it!!! I too work for VZ. Columbus OH

Canada has best carriers except for Telus. Rogers Fido and Bell are all great sevice, reception, call quility, GUI, etc..

wow, is awful, yet it uses bell mobility cellphone towers, and has the same service as bell everywhere in canada telus, so how is bell better than telus again? especially since telus has better plans to offer, personal preference is of course to take at hand, but telus is no way inferior to bell.

Yeah it would be full of people that couldn't talk to each other and have dropped calls! I have had sprint and t-mobile and now I have verizon and frankly it is better no question the only thing that I will give you is that they don't have the best taste in phone selections.

#14- The prada was launched first and then Apple copied the prada phone. There was a law suit about this.

To #14, what the hell are you talking about with the RAZR, N95, and Prada being copy cats? Who did Motorola copy for their RAZR? What exactly is the N95 copying? Oh and the Prada was out and won design awards before the iPhone even came out.

each carrier has their strengths and weaknesses, each person has something they are looking for in a carrier, so discussing stuff like this is never ending, for the benefit of everyone just don't come into a site and put something like "________ sucks"

This site needs a retard forum where fanboys can go and argue about which provider sucks the most. There is only one comment in this whole thread that has ANYTHING to do with the PHONEARENA article "BlackBerry Bold gets priced, dated (CDMA'd?)" Does anyone want to talk about the article? I don't remember the article pushing ANY opinions on which provider blows the most. Pretty sure it was just news. Go argue somewhere else.

okay about the article, thats great the CDMA companies will get the bold very soon after Att, but the touch screen blackberry is comming to verizon first. I think people will wait for the touch screen one if they have CDMA service, what do u think #31

I sell VZW so I will for sure be waiting for the touch bb lol. The Bold is a new spin for rim I admit but the touch is totally new and I can't wait to see what rim does with a full touch interface. I have yet to find a full touch phone that I like, they all lack something important here or there. I'm hopefull rim is the company that pulls it all together and keeps the interface intuitive.

I work for VZW and I have seen the touch BB. The BB rep brought it into work and gave me a sneak peak. Very awesome is all I have to say. The other PDA makers are in for a treat when it comes out. I think it will make the other vendors have to rethink and design thier products.

wow thats a lie. they havent even launched a prototype yet. and another thing manufacturer reps DO NOT come to retail locations EVER. they arent doing business with retail store. they would go to any corporate offices or visa versa for any prototype showing or propositions, please i work for verizon wireless as well and youre completely misrepresenting our company and also our products. DO NOT listen to this person. even if they did have the Thunder prototype reps sure as hell wouldnt see it this early, if anyone were to see it it would probably be the Pres/CEO of VVW (Lowell McAdams)

It would be so refreshing if the posts here would would be about devices, what you do or don't like about the instead of bickering about which provider you like or dislike. Go to a chatroom if all you want to do is be a child.

Read the thread before you post. Look at the last 3 comments above yours. Asking people not to bicker below someone who just did is even more redundant than ACTUALLY bickering. In fact, read your post before you post. Is that english? "what you do or don't like about the instead of about"? Go away.
