Barnes & Noble offers free AT&T Wi-Fi to customers

advertisment:
Barnes & Noble announced today an agreement with AT&T that provides free Wi-Fi service in the store to any customer. The AT&T network has been available at the book seller since 2005 and now any customer walking into a Barnes & Noble store anywhere in the U.S. will have free and unlimited access to the network. Customers will be able to opt-in to receive special alerts over Wi-Fi when they enter the store, such as discount coupons to the cafe or to send an alert about an author's appearance at the location, or even to send a notice when a new release in the customer's favorite genre is available. A free Barnes & Noble app can also be downloaded which will give the user access to the world's largest eBookstore with over 700,000 titles, reviews and store locations. The iPhone app will allow a user to snap a photo of the cover of a book and within seconds, receive product reviews,  customer ratings and the ability to reserve a copy of the book. "We are pleased to expand our relationship with Barnes & Noble as we work together to enhance and deepen customers’ overall experience within the retail stores," said Ron Spears, CEO, AT&T Business Solutions.

The Barnes and Noble eReader app for the Barnes & Noble eBookstore is available for the iPhone, iPod, BlackBerry devices, PC's and Macs and will allow the user to have instant access to more than 700,000 eBook titles, hundreds of new releases and bestsellers for $9.99 and tools to modify font sizes and type. You can download the reader for free at www.bn.com/ebooks

Actually, just minutes after that post I found a deal I might not be able to pass up. I'll still keep my Verizon BB.

Thinking about having a Curve and a iPhone for like...50 or 60 a month.

Believe it!!
