I had the Glyde software update downloaded today at the Verizon service center and all the touch screen issues have been resolved. So far the phone works perfectly. My satisfaction rating went from 4/10 to 8/10! Get the update, as it also addresses about 8 other issues.

Most issues that happen with phones are called I D 10 TY errors.(If you don't get that then obviously you are one of the people having the problems) Basically learn how to use the phone. So many people want the newest and latest handsets but then don't understand that there is a learning curve for every new device they try out. Hmmm...isn't there a thirty day worry free guarantee... I have the glyde myself and it took me a while to get used to. The device itself is great. I can check my email, surf the web ( and at great speeds unlike some other reviewers were saying) and of course call and text just like a regular phone. If you have a problem with your phone and its past the one year warranty you should have gotten insurance. Crap happens like with anything...cars...tv's...computers ect.. but if you don't have insurance on those products you are going to have to pay an arm and a leg to get them fixed or replaced. What I don't understand is why people wine and cry about their choices of phones when they should have done the research, played with the phone, read the manual or similar guides and use the worry free guarantee if it isn't the device for you. The glyde is for some people and its not for others....basically chose your next device carefully. The biggest thing about the iphone is that it is a great phone but just on the wrong carrier. A little fact is that Apple came to Verizon first for the iphone and Verizon turned it down because of the cost to its customers. So when you think the big bad Verizon company is out to get you...think again. Verizon is just like any other business but Verizon's main focus is on the customers. Anyway I don't understand why people feel the need to constantly complain that a big bad company is out to screw them over but for some reason you do anyways. So cut your nails or take the fake one's off, quit complaining and do some research next time. Ohh and if it was a few days after the worry free guarantee I am sure they would have taken it back anyway...I love how people always like to stretch the truth to make people feel sorry for them when they probably came in three months after they got the gosh darn thing. Have a wonderful day.

i have the gylde and it didnt even last the first week i had it. it started freezing and the screen would sometimes get stuck in one position when i got a text message. we took it back and they replaced it. with my seconnd one it lasted a little bit longer but the same thing is happening. i love the phone and everything, its just gay that these phones are not built to last. i mean youre spending almost 500 dollars on a phone, you think it would last atleast up until your contract is up.

This is f**kin rediculous you guys would believe how pissed off it makes me sometimes. I have just completley given up on the dial pad and dial with the phone open and hurry up and slide it cloesd. i try and text it puts into the phone number input line.

and the thing that pisses me off the most is the fact that whatever button i press it hits that bar at the bottom then when i hit something in that menu it takes me back to my home screen.

Ive also tried taking the phone to 3 diffrent verizons 3 times first time they had no Idea. second time they said 45 minute wait and 30 to do the service so i said forget that then on my third attempt i was told it couldnt be done at the time but try again in a couple days!!!

I am not happy with this phone at all. Can someone with the "update" that fixes the touchscreen issue post the actual version number? I have S/W V. U940.BD05

I bought my Glyde on August 6 and I have had trouble with the screen since day 1. WTF? Also, I wish there were send and end buttons.

I am pretty sure I am taking it back to the store.

I'm so disappointed with Verizon...I have not been able to keep a phone longer than six months yet. The glyde randomly selects buttons that I don't push and freezes up on me on a constant basis. If you're considering buying the glyde DO NOT DO IT!!!! It has to be the worst phone out on any carrier. Verizon should discontinue the phone completely. I am waiting on my replacement glyde in a few days since the store was out of stock. To describe the glyde in one word ,it would be worthless.
